MENZEL RESEARCH

The Menzel Research group is focused on sustainable nanomaterials development for integration into modern technologies. Primarily, our interests are concerned with the structural and chemical modulation of nanocarbons (graphene and carbon nanotubes) and metals within a wide array of applications from (electro)chemical catalysis to plasma physics experiments. We have a close relationship with several industrial partners ranging from the defence sector to the speciality chemicals sector, as well as other research groups and institutions to probe fundamental relationships between materials and their functions utilising advanced microscopic and spectroscopic characterisation techniques.
