OVYVO - Key Persons
Caitlin graduated in 2010 with a Medical Assisting Associate's Degree. She worked in the primary care field for five years at Baughman Family Medicine, and worked her way up to Lead Medical Assistant before leaving BFM to help open The Harrisburg Medical Weight Loss Center (now OVYVO Medical Weight Loss). Over the last few years, Caitlin has continued her study of biology, physiology and weight management. She and Chelsea have developed many of the handouts and material aids we use in the education, counseling, and management of our patients. She has also written policy and procedures regarding patient flow, drug approval, medication prior authorization and encounter documentation. Recognizing that she has a passion for counseling patients with regards to diet, exercise, healthy habits, and medical options, Caitlin decided to pursue becoming a Weight Loss Counselor. After shadowing our providers extensively and studying treatment guidelines, Caitlin successfully completed our in-house Medical Weight Loss Counseling Certification Exam.
A Weight Loss Counselor educates patients on issues regarding weight loss, diet, and exercise. Counselors assess a client's current weight and nutrition choices to provide guidance in obtaining a healthier lifestyle and losing weight. Caitlin works hand and hand with Dr. Baughman and Lauren to provide patients with options and accessibility to the practice.

Chelsea graduated from West Chester University with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics in May 2015. She brings an energy to the practice in addition to a unique skill set which compliments our providers' knowledge of medications and exercise physiology.
Chelsea has extensive experience teaching lifestyle modification and skills, as well as with the commercial and medical products available to manage and facilitate weight loss. Chelsea is responsible for developing meal plans, monitoring progress, and streamlining the patient experience.
She works to empower others to achieve their physical and mental health goals.

Dr. Paul Baughman graduated in 1993 from Lycoming College and obtained his medical degree in Philadelphia at The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He did his Family Practice Residency at Pinnacle Health Systems in Harrisburg and practiced on Locust Lane until Feb 2009, then he moved his family practice to a larger building on Dover Rd.
Dr. Baughman is now one of only a few physicians in Pennsylvania to hold a Board Certification in Obesity Medicine -and the ONLY Board Certified Physician in the Harrisburg area that works solely in the area of non-surgical weight management! He now holds both a certification in Family Practice and Obesity Medicine. This is a very exciting accomplishment for Dr. Baughman and for our practice.
Hannah Escamilla, CRNP graduated in 2020 from Drexel University's College of Nursing and Health Professions with a masters degree in Nursing. She is a Family Nurse Practitioner and is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Hannah enjoys helping patients have better quality of life and focusing on preventative medicine.
Kelsey graduated from Marywood University in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in nutrition and dietetics. She has a passion for helping people lose weight because she also had her own struggles with weight.

Laura Shaeffer is the Business Manager for OVYVO Medical Weight Loss. She is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and Administration. She earned the Truist Leadership Institute's Emerging Leaders Certification during her time at Penn State and was involved in various business clubs. Laura has been with OVYVO Medical Weight Loss since March of 2020. In her current role as Business Manager, she brings considerable knowledge and expertise to the administration of our offices. Like others on our team, Laura loves the fact that she gets to help people achieve their personal goals everyday and see the progress that patients make.
Outside of work, Laura loves to be outside hiking, kayaking, and seeing new places. She is an avid Penn State football fan and loves watching the games with her friends and family every Saturday.

Lauren Kropa PA-C graduated in 2007 from King's College's Physician Assistant Program with a Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies. She is certified by the NCCPA and Licensed under the Pennsylvania State Board of Osteopathic Medicine. She has been practicing with Dr. Baughman since October of 2007. Lauren has always had a passion for helping patients lose weight and is excited to have the opportunity to be a part of Medical Weight Loss Center of Harrisburg.
