More than 70% of our therapeutics are naturally-produced small molecules. We continue to look for molecules with individual or combination activity: antibacterial, anti-fungal, immunosuppressant & anti-cancers... Each well holds an extract produced by an Actinomycete. Our goal is to find out all the molecules produced and what kind of activity each molecule has!... We are part of the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Toronto. We are located in the MaRS Discovery District in downtown Toronto, Canada.
