Dr. Amita Bhalla MD is fellowship trained and board certified in Neurology (University of Birmingham, AL) and Sleep Medicine (University of Texas, Houston). Dr. A. Bhalla has an interest in Neurobiology and was a post-doctoral fellow at the Department of Neurobiology, Duke University Medical Center, NC. She specializes in the treatment of sleep apnea, insomnia (using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and other sleep related disorders.
Dr. Angela Shiue, MD RPVI is a native Houstonian who attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, one of the nation's top medical schools . She stayed at UT Southwestern for her Internal Medicine residency before coming home to Houston for her fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Dr. Shiue is board certified in Internal Medicine, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology and was the recipient of the DuPont/Fuentes Endowed Fellowship Award in Cardiovascular Medicine during her fellowship.
Dr. Benjamin Metz DO FACC graduated Cum Laude from Texas A & M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science. He then moved to Fort Worth and completed medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center - Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine.
After graduating from medical school, he returned to Houston to complete his internship and residency in internal medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center. Thereafter, he completed his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the same institution, during which he served as Chief Cardiology Fellow. Dr. Metz stayed with the University of Texas for one additional year for sub-specialty training in interventional cardiology.

Dr. Carlos Jessurun MD FACC is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease. Dr. Jessurun specializes in invasive and non-interventional cardiac catheterization including nuclear cardiology and echocardiography. In addition to his professional appointments Dr. Jessurun has been professionally recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a Muller Fellowship Award recipient. Fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Karan Bhalla MD FACC FSCAI RPVI is fellowship trained and board certified in Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and Fellow of the Society of Coronary Angiography and Intervention. Dr. K. Bhalla is also board certified in Internal Medicine. He has trained under some of the best cardiologists at University of Texas, Houston and currently serves as faculty at UT. Dr. Karan Bhalla offers state-of-the-art therapies to the South East Houston area.
Dr. Kaushal Patel MD is fellowship trained in Interventional Cardiology and Cardiovascular Diseases. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases and Echocardiography. He attended Washington University School of Medicine, one of the top medical schools in the Nation. He completed his training in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Interventional Cardiology at Baylor College of Medicine right here in Houston; under some of the top cardiologists in the world. He was selected Chief Resident and received several awards for outstanding patient care during his training. He is multilingual and able to speak Spanish, Hindi, and Gujarati.
