Mrs. Kontara is one of the most valuable persons in the firm, as she is responsible for the coordination and organization of the Corporate Department. She has long experience in providing international clients with high-level advice on matters such as tax , domicile, banking and asset management. Her expertise focuses on acquisitions, corporate restructurings, refinancing, mergers and redomiciliation of companies.

Georgia Malekou

The latest addition in our Firm is Mrs. Malekou, a 10 years experienced lawyer in the field of Civil and Banking Law. Her substantial litigation experience allows her to exceptionally represent various high-profile banks and financial institutions before legal proceedings in Cyprus. Her areas of expertise focus on General Civil Litigation, Banking & Finance Law and Insurance Law. She possesses deep and wide knowledge and experience in all aspects of Loan and Debt Restructuring seeking the best possible outcome for the Firm's clients during negotiations. Furthermore, her contribution is not limited only on the aforementioned, as she shares her expertise in other aspects of Civil Law and advises clients on enumerable cases of various nature. When appropriate Mrs. Malekou uses efficient, amicable resolution methods, however, when clients require litigation support, she is more than skilful to represent them and secure their interests as effectively as possible.

Harry Georgiou

From 2011 Mr. Georgiou is one of the most valuable members of the Firm's litigation team. He is responsible in the handling of complex and highly contested criminal and civil cases. He handles also contractual and liquidation cases and appears before the criminal courts. Moreover, he is involved in debt recovery proceedings and enforcement and execution of judgments and arbitral awards. He is also frequently invited to speak on Cyprus law and legal practice at various events of the University of Central Lancashire - Cyprus (UCLan Cyprus). Languages: Greek and English

Liza Pelecanou

Mrs. Pelecanou specializes in civil litigation and has a broad trial and appellate litigation practice. Throughout her career since 1995, she had the opportunity to represent a wide range of domestic and multinational clients in judicial cases and handling all kinds of dispute resolution matters. Her areas of specialisation include Civil Litigation, Banking Law and she is also highly experienced in all aspects of matrimonial and Family law. She strongly believes in giving back to the local community and has supported several initiatives notably, Iasoneio Centre and helped for the sponsorship of many other local charitable organizations. Matthaios Hadjimatheou

Mr. Hadjimatheou's main areas of expertise are Corporate and Commercial law with a particular emphasis on Contract law, shareholder disputes, drafting commercial agreements, assisting clients with formation of companies and general legal support. He gained considerable experience in advising international clients including private clients and entrepreneurs on transactions concerning corporate, Company Formation & administration, commercial, tax planning and restructuring matters. Recently, accredited and appointed as the Data Protection Officer - Mr. Hadjimatheou actively ensures that the Firm is committed and complied to the Data Protection Legislation's (GDPR) newly introduced obligations and accountability requirements, whilst designs and manages Data Protection Management Systems to support organisations in their personal data protection efforts. Michalis Zachariou

Nicole Ioannou

A goal-oriented person, always trying to strive the best of her endeavours, Ms. Ioannou has auspiciously been proven to be one of the most valuable people in the Civil Department. She is heavily involved in a wide range of claims and disputes in respect of Civil Litigation including contract claims, labour law, personal injury claims, insurance claims, banking and finance disputes, disputes in construction contracts, landlord and tenant disputes and she is actively engaged in matrimonial and family law cases. Ms. Ioannou regularly participates in various fast-track projects and is responsible in conducting all necessary preparatory and pre-litigation work and review.
