- Sales & Marketing Specialist
Alessia joined the Plenisfer's team in September 2021 as Marketing & Sales Specialist. Here she is responsible for managing all the Investment Marketing activities of the boutique, along with Relationship Management and Sales tasks. Previously, Alessia was part of the Marketing team of an international asset manager, M&G Investments, where she had the opportunity to strengthen her skills in terms of strategic and tactical investment marketing campaigns, supporting the sales team in client activities and working on the company's communication channels implementation. In her previous work experience, she held the position of Sales division support at Azimut Capital Management SGR and Business Consultant for Financial Services in a strategic consulting company.
Alessia lives in Milan and holds a Master's Degree in Finance and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration & Management, both from Bocconi University. She has a great passion for sport and travelling, she likes to be always on the move and find new things to do, in short: she never stands still!
Gareth Kiernan joined Plenisfer Investments in September 2020 as Head of Middle Office. Gareth brings 20 years' experience to Plenisfer Investments previously working in Amundi and Pioneer Investments. Prior to the acquisition of Pioneer Investments by Amundi, Gareth held roles as Deputy Head of Middle Office for Single Manager funds and VP of Derivative Operations. During his time there, he took lead responsibility for projects, such as the implementation of ESMA's EMIR regulations and OTC Clearing, across Pioneer Investment's European entities.
Following the acquisition of the firm by Amundi, Gareth led the migration of the ex-Pioneer regulatory reporting function and CFD funds to the Amundi proprietary platforms and, following on from that, the outsourcing of the Amundi Regulatory Reporting function and CFD middle office function to a third party provider.
Based in Dublin with his wife and two children, Gareth holds a degree in accounting and finance from Dublin City University.

Giordano Lombardo is a co-founder, Chief Executive Officer & Co-CIO at Plenisfer Investments Management. Prior to establishing Plenisfer Investment Management, he was global CEO and Group Chief Investment Officer of Pioneer Investments, where he played a key role in establishing it as a global franchise from the end of the 1990s to 2017, when he left the firm. Alongside his role in Plenisfer Investments, he is a Founder and Chairman at Rationis, a fintech company dedicated to building risk management solutions.
Trained as an economist and with experience as both an analyst and a portfolio manager, Giordano has consistently worked throughout his career to build active, research-driven and risk-aware approaches to deliver long-term sustainable value for investors. Driven by a desire to innovate, he pushes to redefine boundaries and methods of active management to expand the solutions available for investors. An advocate of the power of collaboration, he has sought to foster cultures which promote knowledge sharing and team-based approaches to investing. An important voice in the Italian asset management industry, Giordano has been Chairman of Assogestioni, the Italian Association of Fund Managers. In this role, he promoted the adoption of the Stewardship Principles Code by Italian asset managers.
Based in Milan, he is married with five children and enjoys long distance running, reading and listening to music. He is a lifelong fan of Inter Milan football club.
Grazia Gilardoni joined Plenisfer Investments in September 2019 as an Investment Analyst focused specifically on Asset Allocation research, analysis and financial modelling. She also assists the senior portfolio managers on analysis for portfolio optimisation. She joined from Lemanik Asset Management where she was responsible for institutional clients' needs. Previously, she worked in Core Asset Management as member of the Investment team.
Based in Milan, she graduated with a MSc in Mathematics Engineering applied to Quantitative Finance at the "Politecnico di Milano". She is interested in exploring the world and enjoys spending time in nature.
Loris Maini joined Plenisfer Investments in March 2020. He joined the firm from Generali Group where he worked in Portfolio Administration & Shared services with responsibility for end-to-end processing of Corporate Actions transactions and monitoring global market deadlines. Prior to Generali, he worked in PWC in risk.
Based in Milan, he holds a BSc in Engineering from the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio, and a MSc in Financial Institutions and Markets from the University of Rome. Outside of work, he plays football and tennis and enjoys books and manga.

Mauro Ratto is a co-founder and Co-Chief Investment Officer with responsibility for investment research and selection. Mauro has over the thirty years' experience in the financial sector and fund management. Prior to the establishment of Plenisfer Investments, Mauro was Head of Emerging Markets at Pioneer Investments (subsequently Amundi). He was a member of the Global Investment Committee and a director of Pioneer Investment Management Limited.
Responsible for establishing the Emerging Market team in Pioneer Investments, Mauro built and led a highly skilled investment team working on debt and equity strategies that covered Asia, Latin America, Emerging Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Alongside his management responsibilities he was lead portfolio manager of the Euro Strategic Bond fund, a global unconstrained bond portfolio seeking the best income opportunities across all sectors, geographies and credit ratings. He oversaw the integration of the research and portfolio construction and headed the macro overlay and foreign exchange components of the investment process.
Prior to the establishment of the Emerging Markets desk, Mauro was Head of Investment Management Europe and Asia. In this role, he was responsible for Portfolio Management and Trading teams across all asset classes.
Mauro lives in London with his family. He is a guest lecturer on the postgraduate program at the University of Genoa and an Economics graduate of the same university. In his spare time, he likes to ski and travel and has a deep interest in history, economics and geopolitics.

Robert Richardson is Chief Operating Officer and a co-founder of Plenisfer Investments. With over thirty years' experience in the financial sector and fund management industry, he is responsible for full oversight of the firm's operating environment and is a voting member of the Investment Committee.
Previously, COO then CEO and Director of Pioneer Investment Management Ltd. and Director of Pioneer Asset Management, SA, Luxembourg (and subsequently held the same roles in Amundi), he oversaw the firm's Irish entities and their foreign offices. His responsibilities included governance, regulatory relationships and business activities centred out of Ireland. Active across different industry bodies, Robert is the former Chairman of the Irish Investment Industry Association and former Chairman of the Forum for European Asset Managers.
Before joining Pioneer Investments, Robert was VP of The Boston Company where he was responsible for international operations management, systems development and business strategy within the Fund Administration Division. He has a BA in Economics from Middlebury College in Vermont, USA and a General Course Certificate from the London School of Economics.
Originally from the US, Rob moved to Dublin in the mid-90's where he still lives with his wife and their two children. Rob is a keen golfer and an avid reader.

Stefan joined Plenisfer Investments as a credit specialist in September 2020 focusing on distressed debt and special situations. With 30 years in the investment industry, Stefan is an active investor with a vast experience ranging from emerging market distressed debt to private debt. Stefan joined from Amundi where he was responsible for distressed debt and special opportunities. Prior to joining Amundi (previously Pioneer Investments), he worked in Thames River Capital focused on distressed situations and restructuring.
Based in London, Stefan has an economics degree from the London School of Economics and trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG. He lives in London with his wife and son, is a keen student of international politics and economics and enjoys winter sports and opera. Albeit not at the same time.
