Adam P. Wright

Adam P. Wright, M.D. is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in both routine and complex joint replacement of the hip and knee. He is proficient in emerging and innovative techniques in primary and revision arthroplasty including minimally invasive surgery, anterior hip replacement, outpatient and rapid recovery total joint replacement, patient-specific or custom implants, robotic assisted surgery, computer navigation, infection, and fracture management. Adam P. Wright, M.D., a born and raised Texan, graduated with honors from Texas A&M University with a degree in Biomedical Science and History in 2010 before attending Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston where he received his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2014. Dr. Wright completed his residency at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas followed by a joint replacement fellowship at the Tahoe Arthroplasty Fellowship in Reno, Nevada. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Wright focuses primarily on hip and knee replacement surgery and practices state-of-the-art and innovative techniques including Mako robotic-assisted surgery, custom or patient specific implants and instrumentation, and minimally invasive techniques like the subvastus knee and direct anterior hip approach to allow patients to recover more rapidly and with less pain compared to conventional methods. Most of his patients go home the same day as their joint replacement. Dr. Wright also manages complex primary and revision joint replacement cases. Dr. Wright participates in medical research. He is a published author and has been honored to have the opportunity to present his research at educational society meetings across the country. He is an active member in several professional organizations including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the Texas Medical Association, and the Texas Orthopedic Association. Additionally, Dr. Wright has an interest in medical missions and has worked in local outreaches and with BMDMI and Time for Christ in Honduras. Dr. Wright is married to his wife, Joy, and they have four young children (two older girls and a set of boy/girl twins). When not working he enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, hunting, fishing, snowboarding, water sports, staying fit, barbequing, and reading. Dr. Wright and his family live in Castle Hills and are active in their church (First Baptist Church at the Fields) and neighborhood community. Dr. Wright is currently seeing new patients who have hip or knee pain that may need or have already had a joint replacement.

Dawn M. Grosser

Dr. Grosser is a subspecialty trained orthopedic surgeon who trained at Yale and Mayo Clinic. She treats a variety of foot and ankle disorders, including trauma, fractures, sports injuries, and adolescent issues, as well as arthritis, diabetes, and reconstructive surgery for deformities. Dr. Grosser grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, and then obtained a B.A. in religion from Baylor University in 1994. She graduated from Yale Medical School in 2000 and finished her orthopedic residency at Yale New Haven Hospital before completing her fellowship at the Mayo Clinic. Prior to joining Plano Orthopedic, Dr. Grosser practiced for 13 years as a foot and ankle surgeon at South Texas Bone & Joint in Corpus Christi. Dr. Grosser is committed to working with each patient to pursue the best treatment plan for their musculoskeletal issues in terms of their life, their schedule, and their treatment goals. Dr. Grosser also uses other modalities, including PRP and stem-cell treatments when appropriate. She has a particular interest in working with patients on simple changes they can make to improve some problems in their feet, including detailed guidance on the best shoes and inserts for each patients' particular situation, as well as diet changes and supplementation that can lessen inflammation for arthritic joints or in healing after trauma.

Dr. J Richard Evanson is a board-certified and fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip preservation as well as reconstruction of the hip and knee. He focuses on a variety of surgical techniques including: hip and knee arthroscopy, minimally invasive techniques, sports injuries, and joint replacement of the hip and knee. He has a clinical interest and background working with sports related injuries, femoral acetabular impingement (FAI), hip dysplasia, avascular necrosis (AVN) and arthritis of the hip and knee. Dr. J Richard Evanson is now accepting new patients at Plano Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center's main office in Plano, TX. J Richard Evanson, D.O., a native of Colorado, graduated from Brigham Young University, Provo UT with degrees in Spanish and Chemistry in 2004 before attending Medical School at A.T. Still University of Health Science, Kirksville MO. where he received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 2008. Dr. Evanson completed an orthopedic military residency at Eisenhower Army Medical Center in 2013. He then served as an Army orthopedic surgeon at Fort Benning, Ga. until 2017. During that time he deployed in 2014 as the chief orthopedic surgeon supporting military soldiers in Kuwait. After concluding his commitment to the Army, he completed a fellowship at Duke University in Hip Preservation and Reconstruction under Steven A. Olson MD. Dr. Evanson focuses primarily on hip and knee surgery and specializes in using less invasive surgical techniques. He offers hip joint replacement surgery using the direct anterior approach, helping patients recover faster while minimizing pain. Dr. Evanson also specializes in hip arthroscopy, pelvic osteotomies and other hip joint preservation surgeries to help patients maintain their normal joints and active lifestyle. Dr. Evanson is actively involved in research and has been honored as a scientific presenter at national meetings, published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals, co-authored a book chapter, and won several research awards. Dr. Evanson is married with five children and is actively involved in his church. He enjoys hunting, outdoor activities and playing sports. He is a former NCAA Division I college athlete and is fluent in the Spanish language. Dr. Evanson is currently seeing new patients who suffer from hip and knee joint pain. Earl R. Lund, M.D. is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon by the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery who holds the distinction of being a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of complex wrist disorders and is an expert in arthroscopic wrist procedures, having performed hundreds of arthroscopic surgeries.

Dr. Barrington completed his residency at the University of North Carolina and a joint fellowship at one of the most prestigious joint centers in the country, Harvard-Massachusetts General Hospital, under Dr. William Harris in 2006. John W. Barrington, M.D. focuses primarily on hip and knee reconstructive surgery and specializes in using less invasive surgical techniques. He offers hip surgery using the anterior supine approach, which helps patients recover faster with the least pain possible. Dr. Barrington is one of the leading speakers and teachers regarding surgical techniques, having taught more surgeons partial knee replacements than any other surgeon in North America. Dr. Barrington is actively involved in research and surgical technique, and has been honored as a scientific presenter at the national meetings of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, and the Harvard Arthroplasty Course. Dr. Barrington is married with three children and is an avid athlete. He is active in his local church, as well as MOVE MISSIONS! He frequently travels to Latin America to provide free medical treatment and vacations in those countries while doing complex Hip, Shoulder & Knee replacement surgery. Dr. Barrington is a co-director of the Joint Replacement Center at Baylor Scott & White Frisco. Dr. Barrington is currently seeing new patients who suffer from knee and hip joint pain that may require a replacement. Michael S. Howard

Michael S. Howard, M.D. is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery Michael S. Howard, M.D. joined Plano Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center in January 2017 and is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and fellowship trained in surgery of the upper extremity. Dr. Howard specializes in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and elbow, reverse shoulder replacements, rotator cuff repairs, fractures, as well as conditions affecting the ligaments and tendons of the upper extremity. He also has a clinical interest and background working with sports-related injuries and arthritis of the upper extremity. Dr. Michael Howard joined Plano Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center after serving in the United States Air Force and practicing in Knoxville, TN. He earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Mount Carmel Medical Center in Columbus, OH. Dr. Howard then completed a fellowship in upper extremity and hand surgery at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Dr. Howard served in Afghanistan and was the chief upper extremity specialist and director of orthopedic medical education at Travis Air Force Base in California. He has served as a team consultant for highschool and collegiate athletes. He has continued to advance the field of orthopedics through research. His publications include book chapters, presentations and multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Howard is happily married with three girls. He enjoys spending time with his family and being active outdoors. Outside of work you may find him snow skiing, biking, running and playing sports with his three daughters.

Michelle Zeidan, M.D., is a specialist in Elbow, Hand and Wrist surgery Michelle Zeidan, M.D. was raised in Weeki Wachee, Florida. She completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology and graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Miami. S. Blake Wallace
