Russ Gatenby

Job Titles:
  • Member of the American Physical Therapy Association
As a proud member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Russ Gatenby has been practicing comprehensive physical therapy in Utah County for over 30 years. And for 28 of those years, Russ has owned, operated and treated patients in the same private practice. Having been well established in this area since 1990, Russ has earned an impeccable reputation with Utah's local physicians for being a consistent provider of exceptional patient care. Now, Russ is delighted to provide a brand-new office to serve adults and children alike, where he can offer a higher standard of care in a state-of-the-art facility with advanced treatment equipment that is unsurpassed by the majority of clinics in this area. For his undergraduate studies, Russ attended Dixie College, Brigham Young University and Utah Valley University (when it was called Trade Tech). Then, Russ attended physical therapy school at the University of Utah and graduated in 1990. And of course, each year, Russ completes his 20 hours of continuing education courses. "My goal as a physical therapist," Russ says, "is to provide excellent, quality care and facilitate the best possibility of restored function as I strive to help each patient achieve their individual health and life goals." As the director of a health and wellness program and a physically fit person himself, Russ has deep convictions that we should strive to keep ourselves as healthy as possible through regular exercise and healthy living. "I try to have a fun, upbeat, inspiring and compassionate feeling in the clinic," Russ says. "I would describe our team as loving our jobs and the patients we treat because we want all our patients to feel respected and appreciated as they are the reason why we are in business!" In his free time, Russ enjoys other active and mobile endeavors. He says, "I love family vacations, hanging out with the family, mountain biking, scuba diving, snowshoeing, canyoneering, Jeeping and traveling." His life's greatest achievement is his remarkable family. "They are the most important thing in my life," Russ says. "I have an amazing wife and four incredible children, of whom I am so proud."
