Andrew Lallathan

Andrew P. Lallathin co-founded Peak Property Group in 2009 and is a Managing Partner maintaining offices in Columbus, Ohio and Santa Barbara, California. He is actively involved in managing the Firm and serves on the Acquisitions, Asset Management and Property Management committees. Since the founding of Peak, Mr. Lallathin has primarily focused on driving the Firm's growth from infancy to a Company which operates across the nation and controls more than $250 million in assets.

Chloe Kirk

Job Titles:
  • Senior Project Manager
Chloe Kirk joined Mesa Lane Partners in 2009, and is responsible for the management, planning, and development of student housing assets and corporate strategy, as well as analysis of prospective properties. She's also managed brand strategy and marketing for Mesa Lane Partners' college markets. As Senior Project Manager, Chloe is responsible for project budgets and schedules, providing design and construction oversight, negotiating subcontractor agreements, managing residential and commercial leasing, and handling the buyout of furniture, fixtures and equipment. Chloe's passion for the great outdoors fuels her interest in green buildings, New Urbanism, and their potential to preserve the natural environment. Her travels across four continents have led to an appreciation and affection for walkable cities and a variety of different building and development styles that encourage vibrant and healthy communities. She hopes to bring sustainable mixed-use communities to underutilized sites around the world and help stop the spread of destructive urban sprawl. A Northern California native, Chloe spends her free time hiking and camping in the California wilderness, playing and coaching softball, and enjoying music festivals of all types. Chloe holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science and Geography from UC Santa Barbara.

Christi L. Hustead

Christi joined Mesa Lane Partners in 2014 to contribute to management of the company's multiple Santa Barbara based hospitality projects. Christi's passion for people led her to follow her dream of working for a boutique property like Autocamp. She has been working in the hospitality field for the past 5 years and enjoys helping visitors experience authentic Santa Barbara. Christi is a long time resident of Santa Barbara. Originally from Orange County, she relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she worked in radio and television, until her career in radio brought her back to California, where she managed the accounting department for a group of local radio stations in Santa Barbara. Deciding to change career paths, she attended Santa Barbara City College to acquire her Associates Degree in Hospitality Management. In her personal life, Christi plays a very active role in her church. She is actively helping to better Santa Barbara by assisting with the homeless and lending a hand to those in need. She also loves to sing with her choir and any other time she can. And during football season, you can probably find her rooting for and watching her favorite NFL team.

Jay Harkrider

Jay Harkrider co-founded Peak Property Group in 2009 and is a Managing Partner maintaining offices in Santa Barbara, California and Columbus, Ohio. He is actively involved in managing the Firm and serves on the Acquisitions, Asset Management and Property Management Committees. Since the founding of Peak, Mr. Harkrider has primarily focused on the development of the Firm's operational platform from infancy to a Company which operates a nationally and oversees more than $250 million in assets. Prior to launching Peak Property Group, Mr. Harkrider served as a commercial real estate loan officer for Fifth Third Bank Corp and The Huntington National Bank Corp where he built and managed portfolios in excess of $100 million, respectively. This experience gained him extensive knowledge in financial analysis, valuation and deal structuring. A graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, Mr. Harkrider holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and a minor in Entrepreneurship. He is a Licensed Real Estate Broker in both the State of Ohio and California and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member. Mr. Harkrider maintains involvement in various charitable organizations and has been an active speaker at The Ohio State University, Fisher School of Business.

Meghan Hart

Meghan Hart joined Mesa Lane Partners in 2013 as an executive assistant to the CEO. She supports the development team and the operations of the Mesa Lane Partners offices. Prior to her involvement with Mesa Lane Partners, Meghan developed superior customer service skills during her four years as a manager in the restaurant and hospitality industry. In addition, she worked as a design and social media intern for the Santa Barbara based eco-lifestyle company, LoaTree, where she contributed to the production of community-building events such as the Santa Barbara Earth Day Festival, the SOL Food Festival, and the "Green Drinks" art show benefit. During her free time, Meghan enjoys hiking, spending time at the beach, trying new restaurants, and listening to live music. In addition to loving the outdoors, art is Meghan's passion. Her talent as an emerging artist has brought her both local and national recognition. A self-taught artist, she's adopted her own style of painting characterized by splatter and watered down acrylic backdrops, high contrast stencils, and text inserts. Meghan spent a portion of her education abroad where she backpacked through Costa Rica, studying tropical ecology and indigenous cultures. She graduated with High Honors from University of California Santa Barbara, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science.

Michael Malik

Michael began his career in real estate banking in 2000 and has since been responsible for structuring and placing over $1.5 billion in debt and equity financings. In addition to working at previous brokerage firms, Michael was a Vice President at a Los Angeles bank where he was directly responsible for the origination and underwriting of commercial real estate loans with an emphasis on construction and bridge product. His direct lending experience at a publicly traded bank provided a fundamental understanding of commercial real estate risk and the best ways to mitigate risk through loan structure. Specific areas of expertise include value-add bridge financing and ground-up construction financing. Michael received his BA from the University of California, Los Angeles. He is a licensed salesperson by the California Department of Real Estate. 

Michael enjoys biking, golfing, and fishing. He resides in Los Angeles with his wife, Shannon, and their two young children, Clayton and Carolynn.

Neil Dipaola - CEO, President

Neil Dipaola is based in Santa Barbara, CA, where he founded Dipaola Capital and Mesa Lane Partners. As CEO of Mesa Lane Partners, Neil has led the successful development of a number of high profile public-private urban infill developments, hospitality developments, and college housing communities; and he was recently awarded California's highest honor - The Governor's Economic and Environmental Leadership Award - by Governor Jerry Brown, and the California Environmental Protection Agency for his work to develop prototype net-zero energy buildings. Mr. Dipaola is an expert in California coastal land use policy, affordable housing law, and sustainable development, and is a frequent guest lecturer for the Environmental Studies and Economics Programs at the University of California, Santa Barbara; the Donald Bren School of Environmental Science; and Santa Barbara Community College. Neil's real estate projects have received numerous industry awards for their attention to detail and use of contemporary design and architecture and have been featured in over 100 periodicals including such publications as Sunset Magazine, Entrepreneur Magazine, and the Wall Street Journal. Neil is a trustee of the Dipaola Foundation, and his philanthropic spirit keeps him active with leadership roles in numerous non-profit organizations. Neil is a member of the Partnership Council for the Community Environmental Council; he also serves on the Board of Directors at the Environmental Defense Center; and is a founding partner of Social Venture Partners, a network of entrepreneurs who leverage charitable contributions and strategic partnerships to create a new model of 'venture philanthropy.' Mr. Dipaola graduated with High Honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara with dual degrees in Environmental Science and Public Policy & Ethics, is a US Green Building Council LEED Accredited Professional, and a real estate broker. In his spare time Neil is an avid surfer, helicopter pilot, long-distance trail runner, and downhill skier.

Ryan Miller

Ryan Miller joined Mesa Lane Partners in 2011 as part of the marketing team for the LOOP student housing community. Under Ryan's leadership, the property was 100% leased prior to the completion of construction. Ryan then moved on to manage development, operations, and marketing for SB RV Park and the Autocamp Airstream hotel. After Mr. Miller's wildly successful launch of Autocamp, the project appeared in several high profile media features ranging from the Los Angeles Times to Sunset Magazine, he was brought on as Vice President of Business Development for Prospect Hotels, a start-up geared towards launching new Autocamp locations around the world.

Stephanie Shields

Stephanie Shields joined Mesa Lane Partners in 2010 and immediately became an invaluable part of the team, managing billing and accounting for the company and the LOOP project. With over 15 years experience as a bookkeeper for various companies in Santa Barbara, she brings to the team a diligent work ethic and thorough knowledge of accounting practices, business administration, and payroll. Stephanie developed her bookkeeping experience as an accounting manager at a local reprographics shop, and later worked under a local CPA, giving her a deeper understanding of accounting practices. A QuickBooks expert, Stephanie enjoys the "numbers game" and the problem solving that goes along with it. In her spare time, Stephanie spends time with her two twin boys - "the lights of her life" - who attend Dos Pueblos High School. She can also be found at Goleta Valley Athletic Club where she has been teaching water aerobics classes for 15 years. Stephanie holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of California at Santa Cruz.

Tony Tomasello

Tony Tomasello serves as a Project Manager and Planner, bringing extensive experience in planning and entitlements, sustainable urban design, green building methods, and construction management. Prior to working with Mesa Lane Partners, Tony earned his Master's degree in Urban Planning and Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California, focusing his academic endeavors on the principles of real estate development and finance, economic development and market analysis, and urban design. Prior to his time at USC, Tony worked for an array of organizations involved in a range of development-related activities, including a regional real estate developer, a real estate consulting firm, a non-profit affordable housing corporation, and a construction company.
