Alan Siqueiros

Alan Siqueros, MD is a board-certified internal medicine physician. He moved to the United States in 2007 for a postdoctoral research fellowship at the Houston Methodist Research Institute. He went on to complete an internal medicine residency at Danbury Hospital in Connecticut and a pulmonary and critical care fellowship at the University of North Carolina Hospitals.

Arturo Homma

Arturo Homma, MD is a triple board-certified pulmonologist with nearly three decades of experience serving patients. He has been with Pulmonary Consultants of San Antonio since 2003. Dr. Homma graduated with a medical degree from Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon in Monterrey, Mexico and completed his residency in internal medicine there at University Hospital U.A.N.L. After moving to the United States in 1996, Dr. Homma completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He also completed fellowships in critical care medicine and pulmonary medicine at the UT Health Science Center and another in sleep disorders medicine at Wilford Medical Hall at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. He is board-certified in pulmonary disease, critical care medicine and sleep medicine, and is fluent in English and Spanish.

Bradley Miller

Bradley E. Miller, MD is a board-certified internal medicine physician. He earned an undergraduate degree in biomedical sciences from Texas A&M University and went on to earn a medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Miller completed a clinical internship and residency in internal medicine at the UT Health Science Center, along with a clinical fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine. He joined Pulmonary Consultants of San Antonio in 2010. Areas of special interest include chest tube placement, flexible bronchoscopy, intubation, and airway medicine.

Cesar Franscisco Artiles, MD is a board-certified internal medicine physician. He earned his medical degree from the Instituto Tecnologico de Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic in 2006. He then completed his internal medicine residency at Danbury Hospital in Connecticut and served as chief resident of internal medicine there from 2012-2013. Dr. Artiles then moved to the Cleveland Clinic - Respiratory Institute in Ohio, where he completed a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care. While there he received the Recognition for Excellence in Teaching award from the Cleveland Clinic Educational Foundation. He joined Pulmonary Consultants of San Antonio in 2020. He is fluent in both Spanish and English.

Charles A. Duncan

Charles A. Duncan, MD, MBA is a licensed and board-certified internal medicine physician. He has been with Pulmonary Consultants of San Antonio since 2005. Originally from Georgia, he served in the United States Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel. Dr. Duncan received an undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia in Athens, then went on to medical school at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. He completed an internal medicine internship and internal medicine residency at USAF Medical Center Keesler, located at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi. He also went on to complete a fellowship in pulmonary diseases at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. He joined Pulmonary Consultants of San Antonio in 2003.

Francisco Guardado

Francisco Javier Flores-Guardado, MD is a triple-board-certified internal medicine physician, with board certifications in internal, pulmonary, and critical care medicine. Originally from Mexico, Dr. Flores-Guardado earned his medical degree from The Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León in Nuevo, Leon, Mexico. He then moved to the United States and completed an internal medicine residency at Illinois Medical Center in Peoria, where he earned the title of chief resident. Dr. Flores-Guardado completed a fellowship in pulmonary health and critical care medicine at Texas A&M University in College Station. He has extensive training in various respiratory treatment techniques, including bronchoscopy, argon plasma coagulation, and tube tracheostomy. He joined Pulmonary Consultants of San Antonio in 2017.

Gerardo Garza

Gerardo Garza, MD, FCCP attended medical school at the University of Monterrey in Mexico, where he graduated in the top five of his class with an award of excellence achieved for outstanding performance during the last year of medical school. He performed one year of community service working in a rural clinic. As a top graduate he was offered the opportunity of doing an internship in San Antonio, Texas. After receiving his medical school diploma Dr. Garza was accepted to the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) at Galveston for his residency training in internal medicine. After completing the three year program he was selected to be chief resident for a year, an honor reserved only to those physicians at the top of their class who exhibit exceptional leadership skills and excelled in their performance during residency training. After completing his chief resident year he entered a competitive sub-specialty training program in pulmonary and critical care medicine for an additional three years, also at UTMB. Throughout his training Dr. Garza developed an interest in the disparities in healthcare at the end of life in ICU, antibiotic resistant bacterial infections and resource utilization in ICU. He presented research work in those areas at national medical conferences (American College of Chest Physicians and American Thoracic Society). Since completing his fellowship training in 2010 Dr. Garza maintains active board certifications in both pulmonary and critical care medicine. He joined Pulmonary Consultants of San Antonio in 2014 and he is fluent in English and Spanish. He has an interest in improving patient safety in healthcare, and is currently working on his first publication on this subject. He strives every day to provide the best quality care possible to his patients. He also has experience participating in multiple hospital medical committees, including peer review and medical executive committee. Dr. Garza is a fellow of The American College of Chest Physicians and a member of the Bexar County Medical Society. On a more personal level, during his spare time he enjoys to travel and spend time with his family, he is an avid reader of science fiction and practices classical piano. He is also an outdoor enthusiast, with a special focus in mountaineering.

Marc Chalaby

Marc Chalaby, MD, FCCP is a board-certified pulmonologist. Originally from Greece, he moved to the United States to attend Baylor University in Waco, where he earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in English. Dr. Chalaby earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, followed by an internship in general surgery and a residency in internal medicine. He also completed three fellowships at UT Health Science Center in pulmonary diseases, sleep disorders and critical care medicine. He is board-certified in internal medicine with a pulmonary disease specialty. Dr. Chalaby joined Pulmonary Consultants of San Antonio in 2009.

Maritza Duncan

Monica Garcia

Monica Garcia is an adult gerontology clinical nurse practitioner. Ms. Garcia earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing in the Clinical Nurse Specialist Program at the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Nursing. In addition to extensive experience serving patients in a hospital setting, Ms. Garcia also serves as a clinical instructor at the University of the Incarnate Word School of Nursing. She joined Pulmonary Consultants of San Antonio in 2019.

Natalia Soto Gomez

Natalia Soto-Gomez, MD is an intensivist and pulmonologist. She is triple-board certified in Critical Care Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Internal Medicine. Dr. Soto-Gomez attended medical school at Universidad CES in Colombia, South America. She completed her internal medicine internship and residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. She also completed a pulmonary and critical care medicine fellowship there in 2016. She joined Pulmonary Consultants of San Antonio in 2016. Dr. Soto-Gomez is fluent in both Spanish and English.

Samantha San Miguel

Samantha San Miguel, BSN, MSN, FNP-BC is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. Ms. San Miguel was raised in San Antonio and Hondo, Texas. After high school, she attended college in Corpus Christi, where she graduated with an undergraduate degree in biomedical science. In 2015, Ms. San Miguel graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing in 2020, receiving high honors at graduation. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Ms. San Miguel worked with patients of all ages in an inpatient hospital unit. She joined Pulmonary Consultants of San Antonio in 2021.

Stephanie Whitenack

Stephanie Whitenack, MSN, RN, AGACNP-BC is an adult gerontology acute care nurse practitioner. Ms. Whitenack attended the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where she graduated with her Bachelor of Nursing in 2006. She was at the top of her class and graduated Summa Cum Laude. She continued her education at Walden University, where she earned her Master of Science in Nursing in 2016, focusing on adult gerontology and acute care. Ms. Whitenack is an advanced practice registered nurse and is board-certified as an adult gerontology acute care nurse. She joined Pulmonary Consultants of San Antonio in 2016.
