Adam Arnold - Managing Director

Mr. Arnold joined South Bay in 2013 and is responsible for market analysis, land purchase, entitlements, financial modeling, coordination of contractors and construction management. Prior to joining South Bay, Mr. Arnold was responsible for the development of standalone memory care facilities in Texas with The LaSalle Group. Adam received a Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin.

Amanda P. Brown

Ms. Brown joined HMC in December 2006 and served in accounting roles in the absolute return administration department and corporate accounting before being appointed the Lending Funds Controller in 2011 rising to Vice President of Lending Funds and Harbert South Bay Accounting in 2023. Ms. Brown leads the Lending Funds Administration department, which is responsible for the financial reporting and accounting related to the Credit Solutions strategy, and the Harbert South Bay Partners Administration department, which is responsible for the financial reporting and accounting related to the Harbert South Bay Partners strategy. Ms. Brown's department consists of three Certified Public Accountants. Ms. Brown reports to HMC's Senior Vice President & Chief Administrative Officer. Ms. Brown has over 19 years of professional experience as a Certified Public Accountant. Prior to joining HMC, Ms. Brown was employed by the Birmingham office of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited ("Deloitte") from 2002 to 2006 and was serving as an Audit and Assurance Senior at the time of her departure. While at Deloitte, Ms. Brown primarily served public and private manufacturing clients. Ms. Brown holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Troy University and a Master of Accounting from Auburn University.

Ashley K. McCutchin

Ms. McCutchin joined HMC as Growth Partners & Private Equity Funds Controller in February 2012 and is responsible for general accounting and financial reporting for the Growth Partners and Australian Private Equity strategies. Ms. McCutchin reports to HMC's Senior Vice President & Chief Administrative Officer. Ms. McCutchin has over 14 years of professional experience and is a Certified Public Accountant. Prior to joining HMC, Ms. McCutchin was employed by Vulcan Materials Company from 2007 to 2012, where she served in internal audit and accounting roles. Ms. McCutchin holds a Bachelor of Science Degree and Master of Accounting from Auburn University.

Brandon S. Kusibab

Mr. Kusibab joined HMC in April of 2007 and is responsible for all reporting and communications with investors in HMC's private market strategies, which includes capital call and distribution communications, performance reporting, and quarterly and annual investor reporting packages. Prior to joining HMC, Mr. Kusibab was employed by the Birmingham office of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited ("Deloitte") from 2000 to 2003 and Burch Corporation from 2003 to 2007. Brooke H. Dasher

Ms. Dasher joined HMC as Corporate Controller in December 2021 and is responsible for the corporate accounting operations and financial reporting of HMC and its subsidiaries. Ms. Dasher reports to HMC's Senior Vice President & Chief Administrative Officer. Ms. Dasher has over 10 years of professional experience as a Certified Public Accountant. Prior to joining HMC, Ms. Dasher was employed by First US Bank from 2017 to 2021, where she served as the Director of Financial Reporting, and she was employed by Deloitte & Touche LLP ("Deloitte") from 2011 to 2017 and was serving as an Audit Manager at the time of her departure. While at Deloitte, Ms. Dasher primarily served clients in the financial services industry. Ms. Dasher holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Finance and a Master of Accountancy, both from the University of Alabama.

Bufkin K. Frazier - VP

Ms. Frazier joined HMC in 2008. Ms. Frazier's responsibilities include regulatory compliance and providing corporate legal support to HMC and its investment funds. She also serves on HMC's ESG Committee. Prior to joining HMC, Ms. Frazier was an associate at Walston, Wells & Birchall, LLP, where her practice focused on business transactions and taxation. Charles D. Miller - CEO

Mr. Miller was one of the original shareholders of HMC when the firm was founded in 1994. He was promoted to Executive Vice President & CFO in 2002 serving through 2011 when he became Executive Vice President & Global Head of Distribution. In April 2022, Mr. Miller will move into a new advisory role as Senior Managing Director and will continue to service some of the firm's long standing high net worth relationships. Mr. Miller previously worked with Harbert Corporation, which he joined in 1985, and played a key role in that firm's transformation from an operating conglomerate. During his career, he has served in various treasury and financial management roles, including Treasurer, Chief Financial Officer and Director of Corporate Acquisitions. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Auburn University and has completed the Wharton Executive Program at the University of Pennsylvania on Financial Management.

Chris G. Hartin

Chuck Hammonds - CEO

Chuck joined Harbert South Bay in 1995 and has been involved in all facets of the development process. While his predominant role today involves the asset management function for both private equity based assets and institutional owned assets, he still participates in the up front development process. Prior to joining Harbert South Bay, Chuck was previously employed at the Dallas office of Prudential Realty Group where he specialized in seniors housing acquisitions. Chuck received a degree in accounting from Texas A&M University.

Elizabeth A. Adams

Ms. Adams joined HMC as Director of Internal Audit in May 2002 and is responsible for monitoring investment policies and procedures, attending investment committee meetings, and performing various internal audit functions. Ms. Adams reports to HMC's Executive Vice President & General Counsel as well as HMC's Board of Directors and is independent of the Firm's investment management teams. Ms. Adams has over 30 years of professional experience as a Certified Public Accountant. Prior to joining HMC, Ms. Adams was employed by the Birmingham office of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP ("PwC") from 1992 to 2002 and was serving as a Senior Manager at the time of her departure. While at PwC, Ms. Adams primarily served public manufacturing clients and specialized in SEC reporting. Ms. Adams holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Troy University and holds the designee of Certified Fraud Examiner. In April 2000, Ms. Adams was named Troy University's Young Alumnus of the Year in Accounting and is a past president of the Board of Directors for the HERO Foundation (Harbert Employees Reaching Out).

Ellen L. Knowles

Prior to joining HMC, she served as an accountant for Surgical Care Affiliates and HealthSouth with a focus on financial statement preparation and analysis. A Certified Public Accountant, Ms. Knowles holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Alabama and a Master of Accountancy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

J. Travis Pritchett - COO, President

Travis Pritchett is President and Chief Operating Officer. Travis joined HMC in 2005 as an Associate in the U.S. Real Estate group. He opened and ran HMC's Dallas office in 2012 with investment responsibilities for the Central U.S. In 2015, he launched HMC's first sector specific real estate strategy, Seniors Housing. In 2016, he was promoted to Global Head of Real Estate and in 2019 to Global Head of Real Assets with all HMC Real Assets strategies reporting to him including Harbert Infrastructure. In 2020, he was promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer with management responsibilities for all of HMC's private market investment strategies including Growth Capital and Credit Solutions. Mr. Pritchett sits on all of HMC's private market investment committees, is an HMC shareholder and member of HMC's Board of Directors. He also serves as Chairman of the Board for Harbert Realty Services. Prior to joining HMC, Mr. Pritchett completed a Master of Business Administration at the University of North Carolina's Kenan-Flagler Business School as a Kenan-Flagler Merit Fellow. He also holds a Master of Environmental Management (M.E.M.) with a concentration in Coastal Management from Duke University. He also received a BS in Biology from Davidson College where he was a four-year letter winner on the tennis team. Mr. Pritchett currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the McWane Science Center.

Jamey D. Ramsey

Mr. Ramsey joined Harbert Management Corporation in 2022 as a Vice President and Tax Director. Mr. Ramsey has over 17 years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant specializing in tax. Prior to joining HMC, Mr. Ramsey held tax leadership roles for multinational publicly traded companies. Mr. Ramsey also previously worked in the federal tax group of KPMG as a Tax Manager providing services to clients in the healthcare, manufacturing, and technology industries. Jeffrey B. Liles - CIO

Mr. Liles joined Harbert Management Corporation in February of 2011. He is responsible for global technology initiatives at HMC, including network Infrastructure, business continuity and disaster recovery, software support, mobility management, and telecommunications. Mr. Liles is an experienced Senior Information Technology Executive with over 27 years of corporate expertise, involving both domestic and international companies. Throughout his career, he has held numerous key management positions focusing on core computing competencies, process engineering, data architecture, security, and network operations within the manufacturing, logistics, and financial industries. Mr. Liles earned a BS degree in Health Care Management from the University of Alabama and a BS degree in Computer Science from Jacksonville State University.

Jennifer H. Patten

Ms. Patten joined HMC in 2004 and became Director of Absolute Return Accounting in December 2011 where she oversees the operations, financial reporting, and fund administration for HMC's Absolute Return strategies. Ms. Patten reports to HMC's Vice President and Director of Risk Management. She is a member of the Pricing and Brokerage Committee and serves as Secretary for the Cayman Island Board of Directors meetings. Ms. Patten has 20 years of professional experience as a Certified Public Accountant. Prior to joining HMC, Ms. Patten was employed by the Birmingham office of Ernst & Young LLP audit and assurance practice and primarily served public and private healthcare clients. Ms. Patten graduated from Auburn University, Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, majoring in Accounting and Summa Cum Laude with a Master of Accounting.

Joel Sherman - CEO

John F. Bryant (Jack) serves as Executive Vice President and Senior Managing Director at Harbert Management Corporation. Mr. Bryant joined HMC in 2014 in portfolio management and now leads HMC's hedge fund business, develops new investment strategies under the HMC umbrella, and oversees strategic initiatives. In addition, Mr. Bryant is an HMC shareholder and serves on the Board of Directors. Before joining HMC, Mr. Bryant was a Vice President at BlackRock, where he focused on developing, seeding, and launching new proprietary investment funds, including mutual funds, hedge funds, fund-offunds, specialized alternative investments, closed end funds, and opportunistic investment products. Mr. Bryant has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, cum laude, from The University of the South. He earned a Master of Business Administration from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia,where he was a member of the Raven Society. Mr. Bryant is involved in his local community, serving on the Board of the TumTum Tree Foundation, America's longest running wine auction supporting children's charities. John W. He was named Executive Vice President and General Counsel and appointed to the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors in 2016. Before joining HMC, Mr. McCullough was a partner in the law firm of Balch & Bingham LLP and Associate General Counsel of a publicly traded client of that firm. Mr. McCullough is active in the community, currently serving as a member of the Board of Directors of the Economic Development Partnership of Alabama and a past member of the Board of Trustees of McWane Science Center, a science museum and early learning center in Birmingham, Alabama. Mr. McCullough received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Washington and Lee University and received a law degree from the Cumberland School of Law of Samford University.

Kathryn R. O'Neal

Prior to joining South Bay, Kyle was lead developer for Silver Oaks Development Company where he managed the development process for their assisted living, memory care and independent living facilities. Before Silver Oaks, he was a development manager at ZOM Texas where he was involved in the development of over 2,000 units of traditional garden style, mid-rise and high-rise apartment product types. Kyle received a Bachelor of Science in Economics with Financial Application from Southern Methodist University as well as a Master of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University's Cox School of Business.

Lee W. Purcell

Based in HMC's Atlanta office, Melissa Babb is a Senior Managing Director of sales and marketing in North America. Ms. Babb joined HMC in 2008, having served as a Managing Director of JPMorgan Private Bank covering high net worth clients in the Southeast. Before moving to Atlanta in 2004, Ms. Babb headed the Morgan Plus Investment Group of JPMorgan Private Bank in New York, the team that performs manager due diligence and reporting. In the 1990s, Ms. Babb was a capital markets specialist on the New York trading floor of JPMorgan Securities Inc. She began her Wall Street career in 1984 as a fixed income and derivatives specialist in New York and London with Merrill Lynch. Ms. Babb holds a B.A. in Economics from Princeton University and an M.B.A. in Finance from New York University Stern School of Business. She is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Woodruff Arts Center and the Atlanta Botanical Garden and a member of Leadership Atlanta 2010. Michael C. Bauder - Chief Compliance Officer, VP

Michael J. Larsen - CEO

Michael Larsen is responsible for sales and marketing from our office in London. Prior to joining HMC in November 2004 he spent more than 24 years in the financial services industry in a variety of senior sales and management roles, with more than 15 years in Europe, including two years as Executive Director and Head of Sales and Marketing at a leading Swiss alternatives manager. Prior to that Michael was a Business Manager for Citigroup Asset Management, with responsibility for a number of markets. Michael's career with Citigroup and Citicorp spanned 20 years, with positions in New York, Bahrain, London, Zurich, and Geneva. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Boston University. Michael is registered with the UK Financial Conduct Authority and holds his FINRA/NASD Series 7 and 63 licenses.

Patrick McGonigle - CEO

Preston L. Ulrich

Raymond J. Harbert has served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Harbert Management Corporation, an alternative asset investment management firm, since it was organized in 1993. Mr. Harbert began his career with Harbert International, Inc., a subsidiary of Harbert Corporation, in 1982 where he held various positions. Subsequently, Mr. Harbert served as Vice President of Business Development and then as President of Harbert Properties Corporation, Harbert Corporation's real estate subsidiary. In December 1988, he was elected Vice President of Harbert Corporation, where he had overall responsibility for the firm's investment portfolio. In July 1990, he was elected President and Chief Executive Officer of Harbert Corporation, which brought the remainder of the firm under his management. Mr. Harbert serves on the Board of Trustees of Auburn University, where he is the past President Pro Tem. Mr. Harbert also serves on the Board of Trustees for the Robert Meyer Foundation. He serves on the Board of Trustees and is a member of the Executive Committee of Children's Hospital of Alabama. In addition, Mr. Harbert serves on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee for Birmingham Business Alliance. He also serves as a member of the President's Advisory Board of the University of Alabama at Birmingham and is a member of Chief Executives Organization. Mr. Harbert is a past member of the Board of Trustees for the Alabama Trust Fund, Alabama Business Hall of Fame Nominating Committee, Leadership Alabama, Young Presidents' Organization, and a former Alabama State Chairman for YPO. Mr. Spiller joined Harbert Management Corporation in 2015 as the Company's Controller. In 2021, Mr. Spiller became the Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer. As Chief Administrative Officer, he provides oversight to Fund Accounting, Corporate Accounting, and Investor Reporting. Mr. Spiller has over 16 years of professional experience as a Certified Public Accountant. Prior to joining HMC, he was senior manager at PwC, where he provided assurance services to clients in the healthcare and insurance industries. Mr. Spiller received Masters and BS in Accounting from University of Alabama-Birmingham. Mr. Spiller is the current president of Board of Directors for HERO Foundation (Harbert Employees Reaching Out).

S. Perry Given - VP

Mr. Given joined HMC in 1981 and has held responsibilities in the areas of general corporate law, fund formation, transactions, financings, litigation management, real estate legal functions and oversight for human resources and insurance/risk management. Mr. Given is Vice President and Associate General Counsel of HMC and is General Counsel for Harbert Realty Services. He also serves on Harbert Realty Services' Board of Directors. Mr. Given holds a Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Alabama School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in business and history from Vanderbilt University. Mr. Given is currently serving on the Board of Directors of Alabama Goodwill Industries, Inc., the Quarterbacking Children's Health Foundation ("QCHF") and the Monday Morning Quarterback Club (the fundraising arm of the QCHF).

Sam Welty

Steffan L. Dye - Managing Director

Steffan Dye leads HMC's sales and marketing efforts in Western North America. With nearly 20 years of private investment marketing experience, Steffan joined HMC in 2022 as a Managing Director. Previously, Steffan covered Western North America for Eaton Partners, a Stifel company - a global private placement agent. Prior to Eaton, he led sales and marketing for Ridgewood, a multi-strategy sponsor historically focused on energy, renewable power, infrastructure, and venture capital. Steffan is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley.

Thomas M. Hicks - Chief Risk Officer, VP

Mr. Hicks joined HMC in 2004 and became Director of Risk Management in 2007. The Risk Management Department is responsible for monitoring and reporting risk exposures across HMC's various investment strategies. The group oversees various risk management functions including valuation analysis, absolute return fund accounting, and risk reporting. Mr. Hicks reports to HMC's Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer as well as HMC's Board of Directors and is independent of the Firm's investment management teams. Prior to joining HMC, Mr. Hicks was manager of the Munich back office accounting team at State Street IMS West and previously worked for a private investment firm. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Finance as well as a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Alabama, Birmingham. Mr. Hicks is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement from the CFA Institute. Mr. Hicks has also earned the PRM designation from The Professional Risk Managers' International Association. Mr. Hicks is currently a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and is a former president of the Board of Directors for the HERO Foundation (Harbert Employees Reaching Out).
