On August 4 2020, the Beirut port was hit by one of the biggest explosions in history. The magnitude of the blast spread across the country destroying the capital, our home. In the aftermath, the thriving cultural and creative scene is threatened. With an ongoing pandemic and a tightening economy, creative outlets in Beirut struggle to survive and Factory People is no exception. That is why we aim to rebuild our spaces to continue fostering the creative scene... Our venues, The Grand Factory and AHM, became a hub for expression, artistic development and musical contribution. To the people of Lebanon, our clubs were not just venues, they became cultural landmarks and melting pots for different communities who make Beirut what it is.
