SOLACE CARE - Key Persons

Audrey O. Brenya - Founder

Job Titles:
  • Co - Founder
Co-Founder | Executive Director, Sales & Operations Audrey Brenya began her professional career out of college over fifteen years ago working in the Staffing and Recruiting industry. In 2007, she entered the Insurance industry where she enjoyed much success working for niche insurance companies specializing in serving affluent individuals in a variety of sales, new business development and management capacities. With a desire to have a more fulfilling professional life after having her second child, she closed the chapter on her corporate career and set out to satisfy her entrepreneurial interests to own and operate her own family business, Solace Care. Born and raised in the Ghanaian culture where aging is celebrated and giving your elders the utmost in respect is the norm, she always knew the elder community played an important role in our society. In her own family, it was not uncommon to see all multi-generations living together in one household caring for one another as parents or grandparents age. Sharing a close and special bond with her late grandmother and having a number of her family members and family friends dedicating their careers to caregiving, she realized this industry was a natural calling for her. She saw this as an opportunity to enhance the level of care for clients and their families, and also recognize the caregivers' role as an instrumental part in the client's overall experience as they age in place. Learning about the unfortunate circumstances clients and their families suffered through in search of finding quality care, led her to find a better method to provide compassionate and genuine care for clients. Audrey Brenya holds a Supervision and Leadership Certificate from Boston University, School of Social Work Center for Aging Disability Education & Research and a Certificate in Gerontology from the University of Central Florida. She is also pursuing her Certified Senior Advisor designation. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a minor in Communications from Worcester State University in Worcester, Massachusetts. She and her husband are proud residents of Stamford, Connecticut. During her free time she enjoys traveling, spending quality time with her husband and two young and energetic children.
