Dr. Caroline Sizer

Dr. Caroline Sizer is a board-certified Physiatrist. She graduated Magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in neuroscience from Brown University and went on to obtain her medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Dr. Sizer completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at National Rehabilitation Hospital in Washington, DC, followed by a fellowship in polytrauma and brain injury at Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Hospital Medical Center in Richmond, VA. Dr. Sizer is a member of the American College of Rehabilitation Medicine, the Association of Academic Physiatrists, and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She currently serves on the Rhode Island Governors Permanent Advisory Commission on Traumatic Brain Injury.

Stephen F. Koelbel

Stephen F. Koelbel, MD, is Medical Director of the Spasticity Management Program at Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital and founder of South Shore Physiatry and Spasticity Management, LLC, both in Braintree, Massachusetts. He is also a staff physiatrist at Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital and South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, Massachusetts, and a consultant at The Boston Home, Dorchester, Massachusetts and Plymouth Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Dr. Koelbel received his medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine in Burlington, VT. He completed a transitional internship at Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, New York and fulfilled a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, serving one year as Chief Resident, at New England Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Koelbel's clinical interests include comprehensive management of spasticity. He has extensive experience in the use of intrathecal baclofen, botulinum toxin intramuscular neurolysis and phenol neurolysis in the management of spasticity. Dr. Koelbel lectures frequently on the topic of spasticity management. He is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is a fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
