During my career as a deputy superintendent in Dallas ISD and superintendent of schools in Harlingen CISD and Round Rock ISD, our district's success was dependent on building internal leadership capacity. While building leadership programs for our students, teachers, assistant principals, principals, and community, our core program was the Team One model for aspiring campus principals. From my time in Dallas ISD until my retirement from Round Rock ISD, we developed 15 cohorts of Team One.
