URBAN POETIK MINISTRIES

The UPM mission is to bring urban poetic works that includes the mediums of music and dance to the theatrical stage in service to our performers and our audiences. We stimulate, celebrate, and enhance understanding of others and our selves through shared experiences of live theatre and arts programs in Philadelphia and other cities worldwide. UPM ministers to black women to foster an environment of effective communication while enhancing and empowering lives and relationships... Our mission is to use the transformative power of spoken word, film, and the theatrical stage to empower and uplift urban communities in Philadelphia. Through engaging and thought-provoking artistic expressions, we address the pressing issues that plague these communities, fostering dialogue, healing, and social change.
