Betty joined the WealthQC team in 2023, as a Client Service Assistant. Betty and her husband Tyler live in Bettendorf, IA with their two sons, Connor and Cooper.
Harmony has worked with Merriam through the years and has experience in client relationship management. She is assisting the firm in advisor and client management.
Jeff enjoys helping clients manage the different phases and parts of their financial worlds. He focuses on investment & retirement planning, along with researching tax and estate organization strategies for individuals and their families.
In 1995, after graduating from Iowa State University with a degree in Business & Finance, Jeff began his career as a financial advisor primarily focusing on investments in Omaha, NE. Having experienced the "Dot-Com" era in the stock market, Jeff continued researching investment & financial strategies to help clients manage their affairs in a more complete way.
In 2007, Jeff and partner, Kent Marcek, founded Peters & Marcek, in Bettendorf, IA. Due to the expanded services offered and the retirement of Mr. Marcek, the firm was rebranded as Wealth QC. Jeff's firm responsibilities include, leading the Q-Core Investment Advisory Team, strategy development and management of Q-Core Investment Advisory Model accounts.
Merriam joined Wealth QC, formerly Peters & Marcek, in June of 2012. She has been working in the industry since 1985 and received her Certified Financial Planner designation in 1994. Merriam loves speaking at seminars and has a passion for women's financial issues.
She is not a native Iowan, but loves her adopted state. She has lived here since 1990 when she moved here with her husband, Peter. She has three children: Chelsea who just moved to Des Moines from Dallas and is currently pursuing a Masters in Education Admin, while working for the Des Moines Public Schools; Melissa lives in San Diego and is a music therapist working with autistic students in the San Diego Public School System; and Andrew lives in South Bend, Indiana and is working as a support person for a financial advisor. In her free time, when she is not traveling to see her kids, she and Pete love to travel, boat, see movies and eat out.

Michelle joined our team in 2022 as an Advisor Assistant. She has worked in a handful of industries in the area and is excited to have her new work home here.
Michelle lives outside of Bettendorf with her boyfriend, Brent; son, Carsen; and 8 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Jasper. Carsen just started his freshman year at the University of Iowa. GO HAWKS!
In her free time, she loves hanging out with her family and visiting Iowa City, taking Jasper for walks at Crow Creek Park, and gardening.
