WEST INVEST - Key Persons
Alice graduated from Western Washington University in 2018 with a double major in math and economics. Diving straight into a career of financial advising, she obtained her designation as a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) and is working to become a Certified Financial Planner (CFP).
Alice worked as a financial planner for 5 years, and with a specific interest in the planning aspect of financial advising, she joined the team here at West Invest as a paraplanner. Alice creates financial plans and presents those plans to clients. Putting her passion for numbers and puzzles to work, she is enthusiastic about creating custom solutions to help each client work toward their goals.
When she isn't working, Alice enjoys travelling, cooking, wildlife photography, reading, and spending time with her dogs.
After Graduating from Bellingham High, she knew she wanted to work in a career that involved helping others. Going the medical route, Audrey obtained a degree in medical assisting at Whatcom Community College, where she gained experience working in a team to accomplish a common goal of helping others.
She currently lives in Alger with her Husband Grant, three cats Myra, Cricket, Dobby, and all the surrounding wildlife. When she is not at the office, she spends time in the dirt growing flowers, planning trips to Disney, and spending time with her family.
Audrey is a Client Service Associate at West Invest. She answers calls, opens accounts, and sets clients up with Account View. She is excited to be working with her family and meeting the clients the advisors speak so highly about.
Blair West was born in Seattle and was raised in the Bremerton, Washington area. His family moved to Bellingham when he was 5 years old to be closer to his family roots.
He went to college in Burnaby, B.C. on a football scholarship at Simon Fraser University. Eventually graduating with a degree in Criminology, he moved on to the petroleum industry as an inspector, where he produced his strong focus on detail and his ability to manage under high-pressure circumstances.
He now lives in Ferndale with his wife Danielle, son Liam, daughter Raegan, and dog Benji. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, hiking, traveling, reading, and playing various sports.
Blair's father helped instill in him at a young age a passion for finances. He was fascinated with the way his father interacted with people and how grateful they were for his father's help. He later realized few others had the same passion for finances as he did and sought out an avenue to use this passion to help others by working at West Invest alongside his father. He currently helps build clients' financial plans, develops insurance strategies, and oversees the firm's business development.
He loves getting to know his clients and learning what their passions are. By doing so he can build financial plans around these passions. He truly listens to his clients and establishes a different approach to every one of his clients.
Ed was born in Walla Walla and raised in Pasco, Washington. He graduated from Colombia Basin community college with an AA degree in 1975 and then went on to EWU, Majoring in Marketing and Minoring in Economics in 1997.
He and his wife Debra have two children, McKenzie, a nurse and a son, Keith who is a Commercial developer. They are also blessed with two grandchildren.
He became a financial advisor to help people who normally would not have access to a financial professional. In 1981 he began his financial career focusing on his client's needs and desires, with a financial planning perspective first, then how to choose between available products to work with the plan. Ed is committed to helping his clients in their pursuit of becoming financially independent and confident through long-term use of products.
Ed started at Beamish Financial working with Thom Beamish gaining knowledge from his mentorship. Once Thom retired, the company changed its name to Bayport Financial. In the spirit of collaboration and a long-term focus on helping his clients, he is happy to have joined the West Invest team.

Growing up Emily Schultz was active in a variety of different sports and was an avid reader. After graduating from Bellingham High School, Emily pursued her education at Whatcom Community College and at Bellingham Technical College, where she obtained Associates degrees in Liberal Arts, Administration, and Accounting.
Emily currently lives in Bellingham with her husband Jerad, cat Mila. When Emily is not at the office, she enjoys camping, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
Emily is a LPL Registered Administrative Associate at West Invest. Answering your calls, creating appointments, and assisting the advisors in day-to-day functions are some of the tasks she manages.
Marty has been a financial professional for over 30 years. At the firm, Marty specializes in helping his clients create and refine a process for pursuing their financial goals. He enjoys working with clients who are nearing or living in retirement.
He was drawn to the financial services industry because of his love for helping people. He takes an often confusing, complicated scenario and breaks it down in a manner everyone can understand. He serves as not only a financial advisor, but as a steward of his clients' assets and acts as a behavior coach to help guide them in their pursuit to financial success.
Marty grew up in Bellingham, where the West Invests office is located. Outside of the office, Marty enjoys spending time with his wife, traveling, climbing mountains, exercising, and reading historical novels.
