Frank Strässle

Frank Strässle has been Managing Director at Bayerische Medien Technik (bmt) GmbH since 2002. With his background as economist and TV editor he is primarily involved in the ongoing evolution of media distribution by combining broadcasting and streaming technologies, such as HbbTV (catch-up TV, local TV portal, HbbTV broadcast audience measurement), streaming intelligence apps (MyRadio) or telematics applications (TPEG). In addition, Strässle was head of the DVB-T project office in Bavaria from 2004 - 2014 and deputy head of the DVB-T2 HD Germany project office from 2015 - 2017. In 2018, bmt acquired the FM infrastructures for commercial radio in Bavaria on behalf of its service providers and has become the second largest private antenna owner in Germany.

Rainer Biehn

Job Titles:

Techni Cal Director and Deputy Managing Director

Rainer Biehn has been employed at bmt since 1995 and has been Technical Director and Deputy Managing Director since 1999. He is responsible for the coordination and implementation of technical projects and products. After completing his studies in electrical engineering with a focus on communications engineering, he started his career at the Institut für Rundfunktechnik on the simulation of error protection mechanisms for digital radio DAB. In addition to project coordination, he is also regularly involved in the implementation of our products and has designed and constructed bmt's TV playout center.
