EIGHT ISLE - Key Persons

Joel has extensive experience as a business leader and strategic advisor in the field of investment analytics, beginning his career in London in 1999 with Barra, the risk analytics provider, and then later working for BlackRock in a number of senior risk management roles. Most recently he was Managing Director, Head of Asia Pacific for Axioma Inc (now Qontigo). He has hands-on experience working with multiple asset classes across a diverse set of geographic regions, as well as possessing broad analytical strengths and skills in quantitative research and analysis, risk model development, portfolio construction and investment process design. Joel has been living and working in Asia for more than 14 years; currently residing in Hong Kong, via Tokyo and Seoul. He grew up in the UK and graduated from St. Andrews University with an MA (Hons) degree in Economics. Joel established Eight Isle Limited in 2015 with a mission to empower superior investment decision-making through effective risk management. Joel is also currently an advisor to Teyk, the Hong Kong based start-up revolutionising the way you save. He is a CFA® charter holder.
