She has extensive expertise in Medicare benefits and special enrollment periods, and is always enthusiastic about helping new clients. When she isn't working, you can find her camping or on the beach.

Beverly Akers

In more than 21 years with Action Benefits/Action Senior Benefits, Bev has built an impressive portfolio of experience in a wide variety of roles-many focused on senior health and Medicare plans, and all allowing her passion for people to shine. In her current role position, she leads a team of dedicated benefit and enrollment specialists, ensuring they have the resources and expertise to deliver the highest levels of customer service. When not at work, Bev loves to spend time at the beach with her grandchildren.

Dave Blackburn

Dave is a graduate of Madonna University, and joined Action Benefits/Action Senior Benefits in 2010. He's passionate about helping clients understand their benefits and keeping them informed about changes and trends that impact their coverage. He is a proud member of the Association of Health Underwriters, and lives in Berkley with his wife and three children.

Deanne Wehrmann

Deanne Wehrmann holds a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication from Western Michigan University, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of New Hampshire School of Law. She joined Action Senior Benefits in 2020, with more than 20 years of experience in marketing, sales, and product development. Immediately prior to joining the team, she served as Director, Medical Staff Services Department at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland. Deanne also previously worked in the small group insured, mid-market, and third-party administration industries.

Debbie Brown

With more than 12 years of experience in the insurance industry, Debbie's vast knowledge has earned her the admirable nickname of "Medicare Guru." Her expertise has helped countless customers navigate the transition to Medicare and find coverage to fit unique needs. Originally from Conneaut, Ohio, Debbie has been a resident of Wayne County since her teen years. She is married with three grown children and six grandchildren.

Gary Albrecht

In the 1980s, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan sought out agent partners to revolutionize the way their plans were sold and serviced. As a respected partner and champion of Blue Cross, Gary's organization was a natural fit to become one of first managing agencies. Action Benefits was born, and this relationship has flourished ever since.

Karl W. Albrecht - President

Karl is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University, and received his Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation from the IFEB and the Wharton School of Pennsylvania. He has served as the president of the Michigan Association of Health Underwriters, the Metro Detroit Association of Health Underwriters, and the Greater Detroit Association of Life Underwriters, and is a sought-after speaker on all topics related to insurance and health care reform. He is an avid gardener, and raised three grown sons with his wife, Kelley.

Kyle Reetz

Kyle joined Action Benefits/Action Senior Benefits in 2017, with the quality and accessibility of senior health care at top-of-mind. Prior to joining the team, Kyle spent seven years working in hospitals, which gave him a unique understanding of the importance of insurance in a patient care and fueled his passion for helping clients make informed decisions. Born and raised in Michigan, Kyle spends his free time up north and out on the water with family and friends.

Lori Lockhart

Lori holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Ferris State University. She began her career with Arthur Anderson in Chicago, before joining SelectCare in Michigan, and later R.L. Polk. She joined Action Benefits/Action Senior Benefits in 2007, and oversees all aspects of the company's technology and day-to-day operations.

Stacy Duff

Stacy has spent her career caring for and empowering people. With a Bachelor of Science degrees in both Psychology and Social Work, her professional journey includes experience at Bridgeway Services, The Guidance Center, and Detroit Wayne County Integrated Health. She joined Action Benefits/Action Senior Benefits in 2015, and supports the organization's greatest asset-our people. Stacy and her husband have three beautiful daughters, and reside in Livonia. In her free time, you'll find Stacy outdoors gardening, on the water, or traveling-as long as it's warm!
