My design interests developed from a small scale. I started with hands-on crafts that give a direct and immediate effect--such as ceramics, woodworking, model-making & metal fabrication. I became curious in assemblies, details, and the way things are put together... As my career progresses I continue to find new ways to grow. My core experience has been with smaller-scale residential and commercial projects, primarily custom restaurants & luxury homes. Recently I've focused on projects involving complications such as Coastal, hillside, basement and design review issues... I've also found a desire to better understand how projects are delivered and built. I enjoy learning better ways to communicate design intent, about construction methods--and even learning about Code requirements & technical standards.
