Dr. Nguyen is proud to call Houston her home. She was born and raised in southwest Houston, where she attended DeBakey High School for Health Professions and graduated with a Bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin (Hook'em Horns!). She obtained her dental degree from Boston University in Boston, MA where she also met her husband, William.
After practicing in Massachusetts, they decided to move back to her hometown of Houston, Texas. Following several years of work as a general dentist in Richmond, Dr. Nguyen realized her passion was to work with kids and she decided to go back to school to specialize in pediatric dentistry.
Dr. Nguyen, a proud Houston native and a board-certified pediatric dentist, is passionate about cultivating healthy oral habits from a young age. A graduate of Boston University, she specializes in pediatric dental care, providing a fun, gentle, and nurturing environment for children and parents alike. Emphasizing preventative dentistry, Dr. Nguyen and her team are committed to guiding families on a journey to lifelong dental health.
For Dr. William Sung, dentistry isn't just a job - it's a family business! Dr. Sung's father and two of his uncles are dentists. Dr. Sung was born and raised in California, and graduated from Pacific Union College in Angwin, California with a B.S. degree. He then went on to receive his dental degree from Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts. It was in Boston where he met his wife, and after practicing for several years in Massachusetts, she decided to move back to her hometown of Houston, Texas. While he is still acclimating to the humidity, Dr. Sung has come to love and appreciate the friendly people, great food, and diverse culture that Texas has to offer.
Though there are many aspects of dentistry he enjoys, Dr. Sung's main motivation is helping others. Whether he's easing pain through a much needed dental procedure, or improving confidence with cosmetic dentistry, with every patient he treats, he is reminded that he's achieved his lifelong dream of working in healthcare.
Dr. Sung has made a lifelong commitment to learning and keeping up with the evolving field of dentistry by taking several continuing education courses each year. He averages almost 100 hours of CE credits each year, which is over eight times the yearly requirement for a dentist in the state of Texas.
