Dr. Aftab Jan is a UCD Assistant Clinical Professor and Interventional Cardiologist. After completion of research and general training in cardiology in Ireland, he located to the UK to undertake fellowship in interventional cardiology in Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital, UK. He was appointed Consultant Interventional Cardiologist in Nottingham University Hospital NHS Trust and Sherwood Forest Hospitals Foundation Trust UK in 2014, where he was also the cardiology research lead and principal investigator on several cardiology trials. He was actively involved in Royal College of Physicians U.K, undergraduate and post graduate clinical teaching programmes. He also obtained specialist training in General Internal Medicine with the Royal College of Physicians, Ireland. Dr. Jan undertook a 2 year research programme in cardiology in Conway Institute University College Dublin focusing on studies related to advanced heart failure management publishing many research articles in peer reviewed journals. He was also the research lead in Sherwood forest Hospitals Trust, Nottinghamshire,UK where he was the lead investigator on a few industry led research studies, trust wide and national audits. Dr. Jan moved to the UK to undertake a fellowship in cardiac intervention in Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital, one of the highest volume and leading stand alone cardiac intervention centers in the UK. Here he spent time learning complex cardiac interventional skills with leading operators and key opinion leaders in the field. He was involved in several major practice changing cardiology trials during his time there. Dr. Jan was awarded specialist status in cardiology & Internal Medicine and is on the Medical Councils specialist register since 2013.

Dr. Barry O'Donnell

Dr. Barry O'Donnell practises psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy. This work invites patients to speak in order to bring to some light the unconscious factors causing mental suffering which may be experienced as anxiety or depression. Dr. O'Donnell is Director of Psychotherapy Programmes in UCD School of Medicine and Director of the School of Psychotherapy at St. Vincent's University Hospital. Dr. Benvon Moran

Dr. Moran graduated from University College Cork in 2004 with honours, and completed the Dermatology Specialist training scheme in 2014. Dr. Moran setup the first Mohs Surgery service in Southeastern Ontario, at Queen's University Canada, where she practiced for five years as an Assistant Professor of Dermatology. She has recently returned to Dublin. Dr. Moran has published and presented internationally on Mohs Surgery and skin cancer.

Dr. Caoilfhionn Connolly is a Consultant Rheumatologist who completed six years of training at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University, USA. She completed two fellowships in rheumatology, including a subspecialty fellowship in myositis, where she received multiple awards for both clinical and academic achievements. She has a special interest in inflammatory rheumatic conditions, with a particular interest in myositis and muscle disease. Dr. Connolly's mission is to provide clinically excellent, evidence-based care to enhance the lives of patients with rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases. Education Dr. Connolly obtained her undergraduate medical degree at the University of Ireland, Galway. She subsequently underwent internal medicine training at the renowned Osler Medicine Residency Training Program at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, where her clinical excellence, passion for patient care and scholarly approach to clinical practice was recognized with the Frank L. Coulson Jr. Award for Clinical Excellence. She was then recruited to the Johns Hopkins Rheumatology Fellowship Program, and successfully completed two fellowships. Throughout her training, she demonstrated excellence in both clinical practice and research, with over 35 peer-reviewed publications to date. Her remarkable achievements culminated in the prestigious 2023 American College of Rheumatology (ACR) Distinguished Fellow Award - the highest accolade that can be bestowed upon a fellow in training. Dr. Connolly played a vital role in efforts to inform strategies for patients with rheumatic diseases to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic. She led a national research study evaluating the safety and efficacy of SARS-CoV-2 vaccination among patients with rheumatic diseases, with multiple peer reviewed publications in top tier journals, including Annals of Internal Medicine, Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases, Arthritis & Rheumatology, Rheumatology and Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. She has also committed time to the dissemination of novel, practice-changing findings to patient advocacy and healthcare provider groups at both the national and international level. Transitioning her research focus from SARS-CoV-2 vaccination, Dr. Connolly has delved into pivotal clinical questions in myositis, publishing in high-impact journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine. As a committed member of the global rheumatology community, she has served on the American College of Rheumatology Committee for Research (2022-23) as well as International Myositis Assessment and Clinical Studies Group Meeting Committee (2022-present). Dr. Connolly successfully completed a Fellowship in Clinical and Molecular Rheumatology at the Johns Hopkins Division of Rheumatology in June 2022. The Division of Rheumatology at Johns Hopkins is a global leader in rheumatology, and has been ranked the #1 rheumatology program in the USA by US News & World Reports for the last 18 consecutive years. Based on her significant contributions, she was awarded the Jerome L. Greene Discovery Fund to facilitate an additional year of subspecialty training as an advanced Myositis fellow at Johns Hopkins. During this final year of training, a significant portion of her clinical time was dedicated to clinics at the Johns Hopkins Myositis Centre, where the patient population exclusively consisted of patients with myositis; these clinics are some of the few globally that exclusively see patients with myositis. Upon completion of her training, she was honoured with the prestigious Distinguished Fellow Award by the American College of Rheumatology, exemplifying her exceptional accomplishments.

Dr. Carla Canniffe

Dr Canniffe is a consultant cardiologist with a special interest in: Adult Congenital Cardiology (ACHD), Aortopathy, Womens Cardiovascular Health and Cardiac Maternity Dr Canniffe graduated from Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2004. She completed her specialist cardiology training in Ireland and went on to specialise in the field of congenital heart disease. She gained international experience in The Royal Prince Alfred, Sydney and most recently spent 3 years working in the world's largest adult congenital heart service- St Barts Cardiac Centre, London. There she developed her sub-speciality interests of aortopathy and cardiac maternity medicine. She is passionate about delivering high quality specialist care for this group of patients.

Dr. Catherine Sullivan

Dr Catherine Sullivan graduated from University College Dublin with honours in 2001. During her early years as a doctor in the Mater Hospital she quickly became interested in rheumatology and went on to commence specialist training in 2004. During her training Catherine was awarded Health Research Board Clinical Fellowship and travel grants totalling over 300,000.00 and completed a research programme investigating the use of stem cells in arthritis in NUI Galway and Harvard University Boston. She was awarded a PhD for this research in 2010 and her research has been presented at international conferences and published in peer reviewed medical journals. Catherine is a member of the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland and the Irish Society for Rheumatology and holds a certificate in Healthcare Management from UCD. Catherines approach to rheumatology is patient centred. She focuses not only on ensuring the right diagnosis but assessing how illness affects each individual patient. Treatments decisions, either drug therapy or otherwise, are made in close consultation with each individual with Catherine providing expert guidance and advice. Written information is given on all medications along with advice on drug monitoring when necessary. Dr. Conor O' Brien

Dr. Conor O' Brien graduated from UCD in 1995 and obtained his MRCPI in 1999 and completed his MD thesis in 2006. He completed his GI/Liver fellowship in Toronto, Canada and returned to Dublin as a consultant in 2007. His areas of interest are endoscopy, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, functional bowel disorders and all aspects of hepatology Education Dr O'Brien qualified from UCD in 1995 and completed his internship and SHO rotations at St Vincent's University Hospital, Dublin. He obtained his MRCPI in 1999. He completed his gastroenterology specialist registrar rotation at St. Vincent's and Beaumont Hospitals. He was awarded his MD Thesis from UCD in 2006 and became a fellow in RCPI in 2007. Dr. O'Brien completed his MD Thesis in St. Vincent's University Hospital and the University of Newcastle, UK. He examined the influence of host genetic factors on hepatitis C virus infection and response to treatment. He was awarded a HRB research grant to complete this. He has also published papers on autoimmune liver disease. Dr O Brien completed his hepatology and endoscopy fellowship in Toronto Western and Toronto General Hospitals, Canada. These hospitals are large tertiary referral centres for complex liver disease throughout Canada, with a liver transplant programme at Toronto General Hospital. Dr. Conor O'Brien is currently based in the Blackrock Clinic, Dublin. He worked as a team doctor for the Irish Olympic team in 1996 and as the Leinster Rugby team doctor from 1997 to 1999. Dr O'Brien was the Chairman of the Irish Sports Council Anti-Doping Committee from 1999 to 2005, and a member of the World Anti-Doping Committee from 2005 to 2007. He was awarded the prestigious Leonard Abrahamson Medal for Medicine by the RCSI in 1986 and was the first non-American to be certified by the American Board of Sports Medicine. Dr O'Brien was also named Nova UCD Entrepreneur of the Year 2006 for his Fitfone invention.

Dr. Daniel O'Hare is a Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist practising in the Blackrock clinic, Dublin. He has extensive training in Ireland and abroad and performs the latest ablation procedures in the treatment of atrial fibrillation and cardiac rhythm management. Education Dr. O'Hare graduated from the inaugural Medicine programme in the University of Limerick in 2011, and was awarded the Gold Medal for Medicine. Following completion of his cardiology training in Ireland, Dr. O'Hare completed a Fellowship in Clinic Electrophysiology in St. Thomas' Hospital Westminster.
