BLACK POWDER CATTLE

While we're a newer ranch, our land has been farmed by family for decades and continuing that is important to us. We're located in South East Saskatchewan, just south of Oxbow, with easy access to cross-Canada, and cross-border shipping to the U.S... We built the ranch from scratch, with kilometres of fence, new roads, a barn that our Highlands don't want to spend time in (they're outdoor enthusiasts), a gushing deep well, a solid hay operation and capped off with valley, forest, and two springs. It's perfect land for Highlands with great grazing, shelter, variety and room to wander a bit. Today there are 47 Scottish Highlands enjoying the land about as much as we do... Today we have a fold that is producing beautiful calves that are healthy, happy and just plain fun to be around.
