Dr. Candice Colby

Dr. Candice Colby is a fellowship-trained Neurotologist/Ear and Skull Base Surgeon with a main practice location in Midland, MI. She is the only board-certified specialist in the region with advanced specialized training in all disorders of the ear and ear surgery. She received her medical degree from the University of Michigan School of Medicine after graduating from Ferris State University with a BS in biotechnology. She completed her residency training in Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia and went on to complete more specialized training in Otology, Neurotology, and Skull Base Surgery at the University of Minnesota-Minneapolis. Dr. Colby is a Board-Certified Otolaryngologist-Head and Neck Surgeon and specializes in the treatment of patients with diseases and disorders of the ear and skull base. Her interests include evaluation and treatment of hearing loss, chronic ear diseases, dizziness and balance disorders, tinnitus, facial nerve conditions, chronic migraine, and skull base tumors such as acoustic neuromas.

Dr. Rachel Balog

Dr. Rachel Balog achieved both her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Audiology degrees from Central Michigan University. She completed her residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where she focused on specialized training in cochlear implants. Dr. Balog is licensed in the state of Michigan and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She is also a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA). Her primary areas of interest include cochlear implants and other amplification options for patients across the lifespan.
