The two initiatives share the same single goal: to bring hope to children and their families who are confronted with the diagnosis of a rare brain tumor... Alternative drug delivery methods will help administer therapy directly to the tumor site, bypassing the blood-brain barrier. In addition, the CBTP research team is developing methods to track delivered drugs to ensure they stay where intended... Brain tumors are the most common tumors found in children.. and the most fatal. That's why families impacted by pediatric brain tumors have come together to fund life-saving research at the Children's Brain Tumor Project, Weill Cornell Medicine. We created this nonprofit organization with the shared mission to fundraise for the Children's Brain Tumor Project lab while maintaining control of the strict stewardship..
