COMPASS FINANCIAL - Key Persons

It has been a great pleasure to work in the financial business for the past twenty five years serving people from Michigan to Florida and throughout the country. I am very blessed and pleased to announce that my daughter, Lauren Smith, has joined me in this amazing business at Compass Financial. I grew up in McBain, Michigan and graduated from McBain Rural Agricultural School. After high school, I went on to Baker College in Grayling, Michigan, training to become a dental hygienist. While attending college I worked at Chemical Bank in Lake City, Michigan, which spiked my interest in the financial industry. I later attended Davenport University and worked at Michigan National Bank, where I became series 7,6 and 65 licensed. When Michigan National was bought out by Standard Federal, I transferred to Centennial Securities. Ten years ago I chose Sigma Financial as my broker dealer so that I could pursue the independent avenue, which has turned out to be one of the best decisions I have made. Lauren and I now have two offices, one in McBain , Michigan, and one in Punta Gorda, Florida. Lauren will be working in the McBain office full time, and I will be located in the Punta Gorda, Florida office during the winter months. We have decided to name our new offices Compass Financial to represent our locations in the North and South.
