Brain Matters

We are proud to be home to the satellite office for Brain Matters Research, a leading Alzheimer's disease research organization. Brain Matters Research offers free memory assessments. Each screening takes about 45 minutes. Participants will be asked questions regarding orientation, language, attention, recollecting events and more.

Danae Clark Dowd

Danae Clark Dowd earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Nursing from the University of South Florida. She is licensed and certified as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, specializing in primary care for adults and geriatrics.

Katie Diamond

Katie Diamond has worked at the Day Medical Center since June 2015. She obtained her Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Florida's College of Nursing. She is a Board Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified in Advanced Diabetes Management, and is a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist. She loves treating patients of all ages and specializes in treating patients holistically to optimize health.

Mildred R. Sabo

Dr Mildred Sabo, M.D., is a board-certified Internist and fellowship-trained Geriatrician who has been practicing medicine for over 30 years. Dr. Sabo was awarded her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University and graduated with her Medical Doctor degree from New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey. She completed her fellowship in Geriatrics from New York University Hospital. Dr. Sabo is an expert in geriatric medicine. She was Medical Director of the Geriatric Health Center and the Memory Disorders Institute at Monmouth Medical Center. Dr. Sabo has also served as Medical Director of several senior living communities. Prior to joining the team at the Day Medical Center, Dr. Sabo was in private practice in Brick, New Jersey, for 12 years.

Robert Emmet Kenney

​Dr. Robert Emmet Kenney is an academically trained General Internist with more than 30 years of experience in the medical field. He is an expert on evidence-based medicine and value based care. Dr. Kenney earned his MD and PhD from the University of Miami, and trained at the Primary Care Internal Medicine Residency Program at the Yale University School of Medicine where he also served as Chief Resident and Associate Faculty. He has held leadership roles in all aspects of the Health Care System from Academic postings to Chief Medical Officer of a Medicare Advantage Plan. Dr. Kenney is passionate about the delivery of the most accurate and up to date care to patients, and has worked on many levels to improve work and information flow in the primary care setting. He recently left his role as Senior Medical Director at Cano Health, a leading value-based primary care provider and is currently practicing Internal Medicine and serving as Medical Director at The Ann and Joe Day Medical Center in Florida.
