The company was founded in the 50's by Joseph DiGaetano, Jr., a master woodworker, who began by building custom kitchen cabinets, stairs, and architectural woodwork before branching out into building construction and renovation. The current company was incorporated in 1976 by the Late Joseph DiGaetano Jr. and his son Paul DiGaetano, the current company President. Paul DiGaetano graduated from the University of Notre Dame in1975 with a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering. Having worked alongside his father from the time he was old enough to hold a hammer, it was only natural for Paul to assume the reigns of the company upon the untimely death of company founder Joseph DIGaetano Jr. in September 1976.
