EVALUATION GLOBE

The Evaluation GLOBE research project is affiliated with the Department of Sociology and the academic Center for Evaluation (CEval) at Saarland University. The Evaluation GLOBE investigates the global institutionalization of evaluation. It addresses the fundamental questions of how the social evaluation function has established itself in different subsystems in a global comparative comparison - taking stock of the situation and analyzing the causes. The Evaluation GLOBE is the first research project dedicated to the subject with a systematic research approach covering all world regions... Another publication dealing with the institutionalization of evaluation was presented by Widmer, Beywl and Fabian (2009). This aims to capture the development of evaluation in a systematic way in 10 different topic areas, thereby comparing Switzerland, Germany and Austria.
