EYU EYE CLINIC

Eyu eye clinic is a private clinic serving the rural communities with very subsidized cost. It provides free cataract surgeries and glasses for the poorest community by the support of its partners. A secondary eye care center was established in Hossana town, SNNPR, Ethiopia in 2012 G.C with the objective of providing eye care services in southern Ethiopia by collaborating with governmental and non-governmental institutions. It was founded through the efforts of the local community and former president of Ethiopian cataract surgeons Association, Zelalem Addisu. The establishment of the eye clinic was informed by the total lack of ophthalmic center providing basic eye care service in the area. Eyu ophthalmic center is an organization dedicated to improving the lives of rural people though the provision of quality ophthalmic services.
