Adeline-Cristina COZMA

Adeline-Cristina COZMA is a PhD student at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Postgraduate with a master diploma in tourism, at Faculty of Business, Babes-Bolyai University, and also undergraduate of two bachelor programs at Faculty of Business, Babes-Bolyai University: one in economics and one in tourism. Author and co-author of several academic articles in international journals, such as Information, Negotia, Studia, Journal of Tourism. Participated as author and co-author in several international conferences, such as B.EN.A Conference, CACTUS, Entrepreneurship in the Hospitality Industry. With considerable experience in the academic field, the research focuses on the relation between economic and financial crime and illegal deforestation, as the illegal logging becomes a serious issue for the environment, as well as for the safety of the ones trying to protect the forests.

Alexandra Ioana Daniela

Alexandra Ioana Daniela RUS- is a graduate of economic studies and law, with a master's degree in Corporate Finance-Insurance, currently she is a PhD in Finance with a topic of interest for the economic field "The impact of Intellectual Capital on Corporate Performance". She is author/co-author of several scientific articles for the field of interest and the research area includes several fields such as: intellectual capital, relationship between intellectual capital and economic and financial crime, public finance, corporate finance and insurance. She also works as an associate professor at two faculties of Babeș-Bolyai University from Cluj-Napoca

Andrada Ioana SABĂU

Andrada Ioana SABĂU has a bachelor's degree in business administration and a master's degree in Accounting Expertise and Financial Audit, at the Babes-Bolyai University, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. Currently she is PhD candidate in Finance field, researching a topic of interest for the economic environment: "Corporate Governance and manipulation of financial data". She is the author and co-author of articles in the research area. She gained practical experience working as a financial auditor, and as office manager. Reasearch was one of her interests since early studies.

Cristina BOȚA-AVRAM (PhD) is an Associate Professor Habilitated, PhD at the Department of Accounting and Audit, Faculty of Economics Sciences and Business Administration, Babeș-Bolyai University, Romania. With over 20 years of academic experience, she has published as author and co-author of over 70 scientific articles, five book chapters and four books. In 2011, she obtained the Award Excellence "Constantin Ionete" of the Financial Audit Magazine under the auspices of the Chamber of Financial Auditors from Romania, for the scientific series of studies entitled "The Contribution of the Audit Function in the Vision of Corporate Governance Codes at the European level". Her research interests include governance, corruption, digitalization, internal audit, financial audit, ethical behaviour, sustainable business performance, and sustainability reporting assurance. Currently, she is a member of the Body of Expert and Licensed Accountants of Romania since 2010, a member of the Chamber of Financial Auditors from Romania since 2021, and a member of the Association of Internal Auditors from Romania (Charter of the Institute of Internal Auditors) since 2020.

Daniela DELINSCHI

Decebal Remus Florescu

Decebal Remus Florescu is a deputy Editor-in-chief of Adevărul newspaper, coordinating its Transylvanian counties. He's a graduate of the Faculty of Law from "Babeş-Bolyai" University (BBU) Cluj-Napoca and he has been working as a journalist for over 15 years. Among the media institutions he worked for there are Ziarul Clujeanului, Clujeanul, Ziarul Financiar and the Adevărul de Seară network. In 2015, he was elected a president of the Cluj Press Professionals' Association, a position he has held until today. In 2020, he defended his PhD thesis entitled "Creating viral content in the digital age", within the Faculty of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences (FPACS), BBU Cluj-Napoca, becoming a PhD in Communication Sciences. He has been working as a teaching associate for the Journalism Department of the FPACS since 2015 and his research interests cover the media, democracy, corruption, fake news.

Florin Alexandru Roman

Florin Alexandru Roman is a lawyer and associate professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business Management within the Babeș-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca. Florin coordinates projects, advises and provides representation before the courts on organized crime, money laundering, tax evasion, fraud, corruption and work-related crimes (including industrial and labor accidents). He completed in-depth studies in the field of European and Comparative Law in Italy (Pisa, Padua, Syracuse) and in France (Strasbourg). Gabriela Mihaela

Gabriela Mihaela MUREȘAN holds a PhD în Finance and currently works as an Teaching Assistant at the Department of Finance, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration Babeș-Bolyai University. She has also worked as an Corporate Credit Administrator at Banca Transilvania and she was a member of three UEFISCDI (Executive Agency for Higher Education, Research, Development and Innovation Funding) grants. She has published more than 15 research papers, 2 international books and attended several international conferences. Her research interests are broadly focused in the field of insurance, financial analysis and economic psychology. She is especially interested in human behavior, manipulation, money addiction, culture, happiness, ethics, corruption, fraud, corporate performance, bankruptcy and creative accounting.

Ioana Lavinia SAFTA

Ioana Lavinia Safta has a degree in economics, with a master's degree in Audit and Control Accounting Management, she is currently PhD student in the second year in Finance field, with a topic of interest for economics "The relationship between creative accounting and fraud, models for detecting the risk of fraud at the level of economic entities". She worked as an assistant professor at the Department of Finance, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration , Babeș Bolyai University from Cluj-Napoca. She gained over 3 years of experience in accounting, working as an accountant in a financial expertise and audit firm. She is the author / co-author in scientific articles for her studies area. Her research interests are focused on finance and accounting. Lately, she has given special attention on issues related to economic and financial crime.

Monica Violeta Achim

Her most recent reference work is the book Economic and financial crime. Corruption, Shadow economy and Money laundering, co-authored by international publishing house Springer. In 2020 she obtained the Award for Excellence in Scientific Research, at Babeş-Bolyai University, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Cluj-Napoca, Romania, as a recognition of the results obtained in the research activity. In the business environment, she works in liberal professions as accountant expert, tax consultant and judicial expert, from this perspective being involved in solving many cases of economic and financial crime of the Palace of Justice, Cluj-Napoca.

Mukul PAL

Neli Muntean

Neli Muntean holds a PhD in Economics and is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics and Management, Faculty of Economic and Business Engineering, Technical University of Moldova, Chișinău, Republic of Moldova. She holds the quality of Doctoral Supervisor in the specialties of Accounting, Audit, Economic analysis and Finance. She has 18 years' experience in the academic field. She is author/co-author of more than 80 scientific works (monographs, books, scientific articles, conferences papers). Research interests: Bankruptcy risk assessment, Corporate financial stability determinants analysis, Risk Management. During the period 2016-2022 she was director/member of more than 8 scientific/institutional projects. Starting with May 2020 she became a Member of the Commission of Experts in the field of Economic Sciences, Sociology, Media and Communication of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and Research of Republic of Moldova. During the period 02 October 2019 - 20 December 2019 she fulfilled the Advanced Programme in European Law and Economics, Riga Graduate School of Law, Latvia, a Short-Duration Programmes funded by the government of Latvia together with the government of Norway, in cooperation with the governments of the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland and the United States of America. In 2016 obtained a Postdoctoral PhD in Economics within the scholarship Eugen Ionescu 2015-2016 funded by the Romanian government for research internships at Romanian universities, Babeş-Bolyai University, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Romania, Cluj. Since 2015s he is a Member of the Romanian Society of Economic and Financial Analysts, SRAEF.

Oliviu MATEI

Oliviu MATEI received in 2002 M.S. in Artificial Intelligence from the Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam and in 2012 his PhD in system engineering from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca. From 2016 after obtaining his Habilitation in Computer Science and Information Technology, he has a select group of doctoral students. His doctoral students have promising research results. Since 2002, he also works at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca where he is currently a full Professor. He holds five patents for software. He founded the HOLISUN S.R.L an ICT company. Dr. Habil. Oliviu Matei was a recipient of the Bologna Professorship award in 2019.
