Chris Huang serves as the Vice President for Academic Systems and Completion Strategy. In this role, he supports the college's records team and provides leadership for strategies aimed at the continued growth of student degree and certificate completions as well as transfer outcomes. He also works across the College to support the development of academic systems in areas such as records and registration.�� Huang comes to ������Ƶ from Purdue University Fort Wayne, where he served as associate vice chancellor and registrar. He brings additional experience in student records, transfer and systems implementation from previous work as director of institutional effectiveness and registrar at Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago and as registrar at Wheaton College (Illinois), Governors State University and Trinity Christian College. Huang's professional service includes nearly two decades of leadership with the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO), where he currently serves on the board of directors as vice president for information technology. Prior to joining the ������Ƶ Foundation, Courtney had a 15-year career at Eli Lilly and Company, where she held leadership roles in Government Affairs, Public Policy, and the Lilly Foundation. Most recently, she served as Executive Director of Global Health at Eli Lilly and Company, leading the company's philanthropic commitment to global health. She led public-private partnerships around the world - including Mexico, Kenya, South Africa, India, and the City of Indianapolis - to find innovative, scalable solutions that drive impact at the community level. Courtney also has extensive experience in the public sector. She was a lobbyist with Bose Public Affairs Group, where she advocated at all levels of government. In this role Dom oversees the areas of finance and accounting, human resources, public safety & emergency preparedness, facilities, and financial aid. Dom recently directed the expeditious distribution of Higher Education Emergency Relief funds to support both emergency needs of the institution and students. Dom focused the use of these funds to dramatically reduce the price of textbooks and other learning materials for students. He was unanimously chosen for this role by a 12-member search committee made up of ������Ƶ's president's cabinet, chancellors, faculty, trustees, and higher education partners after a national search conducted by Greenwood Asher & Associates.�� Prior to his role as Provost, McCurdy joined ������Ƶ after serving as the associate vice president for instruction at Kalamazoo Valley Community College (KVCC). He also served as founding chief academic and administrative officer for KVCC's Bronson Healthy Living Campus - a campus built in partnership with regional health care systems and focused on nursing, health sciences, and sustainable food systems. He collaborated with over 400 businesses globally, serving more than 3,200 students through innovative workforce development programs and strategic partnerships. Notably, he spearheaded efforts to position Macomb as a Department of Defense contractor and launched the Michigan Maritime Manufacturing Training Initiative to address workforce needs in the defense sector. His efforts to reshape training programs to eliminate barriers for students from lower socioeconomic background achieved a 146% enrollment increase within six months.�� Dr. Rouse also served as the program operations manager for the engineering, manufacturing, and industrial technologies program at Oakland Community College, where he was responsible for deploying and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance program effectiveness and student outcomes. Dr. Rebecca Rahschulte, Vice President of Academic Affairs & Associate Provost, has served in various leadership roles at ������Ƶ over the past 19 years embracing the majority of her tenure in academic affairs as a Professor of Psychology, Program Chair of Social and Behavioral Sciences, and Dean of Arts, Sciences, and Education. Moving into campus operations, Rahschulte has served as both an Interim Campus Chancellor and a Site Director. In these roles, she created and led strategy resulting in improved post-secondary readiness outcomes and robust college in high school programming landing her in a statewide role as the Vice President of K-14 and Statewide Initiatives. While serving in this capacity, K-14 campus teams and associated programming cultivated intentional dual credit programming focused on pathways to completion; served over 70,000 high school students annually; produced over 6,400 post-secondary credentials annually awarded to high school students prior to high school graduation. These outcomes were achieved while Rahschulte facilitated the College's inaugural accreditation of dual credit programming through the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP) which resulted in ������Ƶ being recognized as the largest NACEP-accredited program in the country. In her current position, Rahschulte supports the development of the College's academic programs, campus academic affairs teams, statewide accreditation and assessment practices, as well as all transfer/articulation and guaranteed admissions agreements. She's responsible for leading strategy and ensuring student success and retention across instructional modalities with a focus on leading the College's centralized IvyOnline asynchronous programming. Engaging with faculty and staff from across our statewide system, she is working to develop a teaching and learning strategy aligned with the College's new strategic plan, including support for the College's re-envisioned educational technology and instructional design team. She also oversees the work within student records, including the College's Statewide Registrar's Office/Team to ensure accuracy of records and alignment with institutional academic policies. Biography Dr. Sue Ellspermann has served as President of ������Ƶ of Indiana since 2016.�� She is the ninth individual to hold the position and first female president of the College.�� Ellspermann's focus has been to align ������Ƶ's programs and credentials to meet industry needs and ensure access, quality, and affordability to all Hoosiers. Under her leadership, ������Ƶ launched the first Industry 4.0 associate degree and Ivy+ Career Link, a transformative approach to career development services. Ellspermann led the development of ������Ƶ's new strategic plan, Higher Education at the Speed of Life, which focuses on scale, innovation, and agility to ensure student success and meet Indiana's talent upskilling needs.�� Prior to leading ������Ƶ, Ellspermann served as Indiana's 50th Lieutenant Governor. In this capacity, she served as President of the Senate and Secretary of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. She also oversaw six state agencies. Ellspermann co-chaired the Blue Ribbon Panel on Transportation Infrastructure and led trade missions to Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and China. Ellspermann represented District 74 in rural southwest Indiana in the state House of Representatives from 2010 to 2012. From 2006 to 2012, Ellspermann served as the founding Director of the Center of Applied Research and Economic Development at the University of Southern Indiana (USI). Ellspermann's educational and workforce development experience is extensive. As Lieutenant Governor, she served as vice chair of the Indiana Career Council, tasked to align Indiana's education and workforce development system to meet employer needs. She also served on the Indiana State Workforce Investment Board. As a legislator, Ellspermann served on Commerce and Labor committees and co-authored Right-to-Work legislation that has since attracted robust economic development to Indiana. In 2016, Ellspermann participated in the Hunt-Kean Leadership Fellows, a program that convenes reform-oriented state leaders to study best practices and policy in education and workforce. During the 20 years prior to her tenure at USI, Ellspermann owned and operated an independent consulting firm licensed in the training and facilitation of Simplex Creative Problem Solving. Early in her career, she held operations and engineering positions at Frito-Lay, Michelin Tire Corporation, and General Motors. Ellspermann holds a Ph.D. and M.S. from the University of Louisville in Industrial Engineering and a B.S. from Purdue University in Industrial Engineering. Her dissertation was recognized as a Top 50 management research article in 2007 by Emerald Management Review. Ellspermann chairs the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership Board of Directors and serves on the Governor's Workforce Cabinet, Indiana Chamber, Indy Chamber, Applied Research Institute, Strada Education Foundation, and Center for Leadership Development boards. During this time in the classroom, Jeremy established his mission to facilitate high-quality, relevant learning experiences for ALL students. While spending 12 years in LA, Jeremy earned two graduate degrees from Azusa Pacific University including a MA in Educational Leadership. He is currently working on his PhD in Educational Administration at Indiana State University. For the past ten years, Jeremy served in school leadership roles. The Early College program became the only accredited high school in the region (Center of Excellence in Leadership of Learning - IUPUI). While acting Designated Administrator for Advanced Placement Teacher Investment Program (AP TIP), MCHS was awarded the AP TIP 2018 School of the Year from University of Notre Dame. From 2016-2018, the school experienced an increase of participating AP students from 120 to 280; an increase in AP exams taken from 286 to 552; and an increase in AP qualifying scores as well. Currently, Jeremy serves as Superintendent of Schools at Career Academy Network of Public Schools in South Bend. The schools provide tuition-free, project-based STEM education, with a strong emphasis in college and career readiness. Scholars earn their associate degrees, industry certifications and stackable credentials while building transferable skills. Scholars experience a personalized education while focusing on their interests, strengths and passions. "A" rated schools and a 100% graduation rate in 2023 have created high demand for the network. Prior to joining ������Ƶ, she worked for an education, workforce, and economic development consulting firm where she oversaw business development, strategic planning, and external affairs. Michalak has a decade of experience in Indiana state government. As the associate commissioner for the Indiana Commission for Higher Education, she oversaw the distribution of over $300 million in state financial aid to more than 85,000 students. She aligned state practices and policies with federal regulations and focused financial aid policies to emphasize completion, productivity, and quality for students to maximize the State's return on investment. Michalak served on the federal relations committee of the National Association of State Student Grant and Aid ������Ƶ (NASSGAP), and in 2014, was selected by the NASSGAP Executive Committee to speak to the White House Domestic Policy Council about financial aid reform efforts in Indiana. During her state government tenure, she worked in the K-12 education and property tax sectors as well. She also covered education, policy, and gaming news as a state policy reporter for a niche publication. In 2013, Michalak received the Governor's Distinguished Service Medal from then-Governor Mitch Daniels. She is a graduate of the Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Service Series. Michalak earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with honors from Indiana University- Indianapolis, a Master of Public Affairs with honors from the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs, and Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Indiana University Robert H.
