Alan J. McCormick

Alan J. McCormick OD received his undergraduate degree at Minnesota State University in Mankato, MN where he attended college on a swimming scholarship. He earned his optometry degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. A native of Superior, WI, he attended high school in Topeka, KS. He lived briefly in the Kansas City area and moved to Wichita in 2000 to join the Wichita Clinic, now Via Christi Clinic. He was an optometrist at the clinic for more than 16 years. Dr. McCormick provides eye exams and vision care for patients of all ages. He offers a wide selection of eyeglasses, sunglasses and contact lenses in all price ranges at the Grene Vision Group location at 5231 East Central, Suite D in Wichita. "I am very excited to join Grene Vision Group and being able to continue to serve the eye care needs of my current patients and all the new patients still to come," McCormick said. He is a member of the Kansas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.

Alan S. Russell

Alan S. Russell, OD has provided optometric services in Wichita for many years. He provides family practice optometry services, including contact lenses, for the entire family in the southeast Wichita area. He is a graduate of Emporia State University and earned his optometric degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. He is a member of the Kansas Optometric Association.

Alana Jasper-Trotter

A third-generation surgeon, Dr. Jasper-Trotter is an oculoplastic and refractive surgeon with interests in functional and cosmetic eyelid surgery, non-surgical aesthetic rejuvenation, tear duct disorders and refractive surgery. Dr. Jasper-Trotter received a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Afro-American Studies, cum laude, from University of Wisconsin-Madison and Doctor of Medicine from Medical College of Wisconsin. She completed an Ophthalmology Residency at University of Wisconsin-Madison and an Oculofacial Surgery Fellowship at Renzo A. Zaldivar, MD, Luxe Aesthetics | Oculofacial and Plastic Surgery Consultants.

Anita Campbell

Anita Campbell, MD grew up in Lenexa, KS, a suburb of Kansas City. Excelling in her high school studies, she received a full scholarship to the Jeffrey S. Raikes School of Computer Science and Management at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. With medicine in mind, she created her own major in Bioinformatics, which uses computer programming for biological studies. While interning with the Cerner Corporation, an electronic medical record company, she was able to advance this new technology and apply her knowledge to various hospitals and clinics as a physician clinical assistant. After graduating with her double major in Computer Science and Bioinformatics, Dr. Campbell returned home and attended the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Choosing ophthalmology as her medical specialty, she remained at KU to complete her residency. Dr. Campbell completed her education with fellowship training in glaucoma at The Ohio State University. Dr. Campbell, a board-certified ophthalmologist, joined GVG in 2015. She specializes in adult glaucoma, including medical and surgical aspects (laser trabeculoplasty, trabeculectomy, tube shunt and minimally-invasive glaucoma surgery) as well as cataract and implant surgery. "I have chosen a specialty in glaucoma because I appreciate the continuity of care that gives me the privilege to build relationships with my patients. This relationship extends from meeting patients for the first time through diagnosing their condition and guiding them through what can sometimes be a lengthy and challenging treatment process. No one solution fits all patients, and choices of surgical procedures and personalization of care can be the most rewarding aspects, particularly when they improve the quality of my patients' lives," Dr. Campbell said. Dr. Campbell enjoys traveling and discovering new places and cultures throughout the world. She adores spending time with family and friends, be it at fun restaurants, listening to music, or just playing hostess to loved ones at home. While maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle, she likes to run, swim, hike, play the violin and volunteer in her community. Dr. Campbell is joined by her husband, Cody, and a daughter and they have enjoyed settling in Wichita while working in and serving the community.

Anthony J. Taylor

Anthony J. Taylor, OD, FAAO works closely with Dasa V. Gangadhar, MD, Grene Vision Group ophthalmologist, to provide cornea services. Dr. Taylor also provides optometric services for the entire family. He grew up in rural western Kansas and graduated from Fort Hays State University with a bachelor's in Biology. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Northeastern State Oklahoma College of Optometry in 2012. He joined a private practice in Hays, KS, where he practiced until joining Grene Vision Group in January 2020. Dr. Taylor is board certified by the American Board of Optometry and is a proud Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. He is also a member of the International Keratoconus Academy, Kansas Optometric Association and American Optometric Association. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, mountain biking, watching sports and barbecuing.

Anthony K. Hartness

Anthony K. Hartness, OD enjoys seeing patients of all ages for a variety of eyecare needs. He is a family practice optometrist whose interests include contact lens fitting, including multi-focal technology, ocular disease and pathology, and surgical comanagement. Dr. Hartness was born and raised in Andover. He received his undergraduate degree from Kansas State University and his optometric degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. He completed his externship training at the Veteran's Administration Medical Center in Muskogee, OK. He perfomed six months of residency training in medical optometry in conjunction with West Tennessee Eye and the Vitreo Retinal Foundation in 2006. He joined Grene Vision Group in 2007. When Dr. Hartness is out of the office, he enjoys a variety of outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, target shooting and dog training.

Ashley R. Carson

Ashley R. Carson, OD is a native of Kansas and grew up in Erie, a small town in southeast Kansas. She graduated in 2003 from Erie High School. In 2007, she received her undergraduate degree from Pittsburg State University. Dr. Carson attended optometry school at the University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry, graduating in 2011. She then moved back to Kansas and practiced optometry in a private practice setting until joining Grene Vision Group in 2013. Dr. Carson is a member of the Kansas Optometric Association and American Optometric Association.

Betty J. Cantrell

Betty J. Cantrell, OD grew up in southeast Kansas and attended Yates Center schools through high school. She received basketball and track scholarships to Johnson County Community College and finished her undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies at the University of Kansas. She earned her doctorate of optometry from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK. Dr. Cantrell enjoys spending time with her family, fitness and being outdoors.

Brian S. Strange

Brian H. Strange, MD is a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. His primary practice is in cataract and lens implant surgery. In addition, he has a special interest in and long experience with cosmetic and functional eyelid surgery. He also diagnoses, treats and follows patients with all forms of eye disease. He received his Doctor of Medicine from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Strange finished his internship and first-year residency of general surgery within the Emory Affiliated Hospitals system. He subsequently completed a residency in Ophthalmology through the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. After practicing for five years in southern California, he moved with his family to Hutchinson, Kansas. Dr. Strange has practiced in Hutchinson continuously since 1993. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Kansas Medical Society and Kansas City Southwest Clinical Society.

C. Eric Shrader

C. Eric Shrader, MD practiced for more than 35 years, providing medical and surgical glaucoma care and cataract and implant surgery for thousands of patients in the Wichita region. He retired in December 2016 from his longtime glaucoma practice, but continues to assist Grene Vision Group surgeons with follow-up care for cataract patients. Dr. Shrader earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas. Following a residency at the University of Iowa, he completed his fellowship training at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.

Cassidy J. Kesler

Cassidy J. Kesler, OD was born and raised in Sabetha, a small town in northeast Kansas. After receiving her undergraduate degree from Kansas State University, she attended optometry school at Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry in Tahlequah, OK. While in school, Dr. Kesler was a member of the honor society Beta Sigma Kappa, as well as the American Optometric Association and the Kansas Optometric Association. Dr. Kesler joined Grene Vision Group in 2017, and serves as the Director of Refractive Surgery. After completing optometry school, Dr. Kesler moved back to Kansas to be closer to her family. She is married with a family. Along with spending time with family, Dr. Kesler enjoys traveling, being outdoors and cheering on her K-State Wildcats.

Charles R. Whitfill

Charles R. Whitfill, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist with specialty training in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus. He specializes in medical and surgical eye care for children, and in surgical eye care of adult patients with eye muscle disorders. Areas of special interest for Dr. Whitfill include eye muscle surgery, pediatric cataracts, amblyopia, blocked tear ducts and minor oculoplastic procedures in children. Dr. Whitfill received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Oklahoma. He completed his residency at St. Louis University in 1999 and a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus at Emory University in Atlanta in 2000. Prior to joining Grene Vision Group in July 2005, he was in private practice in Longview, TX. "The improvement and preservation of vision is paramount in my practice," Dr. Whitfill said. "The eyes of our children are the eyes of our future. It is of the utmost importance to me to optimize the vision and visual function of every child I see to help them reach their potential in life. I am sure you will find I provide excellent surgical and medical eye care in a compassionate and relaxed atmosphere that will not intimidate your child."

Christopher B. Means

Christopher B. Means, OD is a Kansas native, born and raised in Wichita. He graduated from Northwest High School in 1993. Dr. Means earned a Biochemistry degree from Wichita State University and went on to attend Optometry School at Northeastern State University School of Optometry in Tahlequah, Okla. He graduated Summa Cum Laude. After graduation in 2002, Dr. Means moved back to Wichita to be closer to family and start up his own private practice right out of school. In 2008, he sought an opportunity to join Grene Vision Group. He practices full scope Optometric care for the entire family. He is a provider for the InfantSee and See To Learn programs (providing vision care for infants and toddlers) as well as a member of The College of Optometry in Vision Development (specializing in one of his favorite passions: helping those with vision-related learning problems needing Vision Therapy services). Family and faith are his other passions. He is married to his lovely, giving wife, Tina. They currently have six children at home, Jacob, Caleb, Abigail, Hannah, Gabriel and Sarah. As a family, they love serving at their local church of First Baptist in El Dorado, Kan.

Dan A. Gillogly

Dan A. Gillogly, OD is an optometrist specializing in family optometry. He enjoys the variety and challenge of working with patients of all ages. It is not uncommon for him to provide eye care to three generations of the same family. Dr. Gillogly provides general vision care, contact lens services, diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease and comanagement of ocular surgeries. Dr. Gillogly grew up in rural Franklin County near Ottawa, KS. After obtaining an undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas, he received professional training at the University of Houston College of Optometry. Although establishing many relationships while in Texas, the plan was always to return to Kansas. He and his wife, Brenda, established a home in Derby in 1990 and have been residents there since. They have four children and three grandchildren. "Practicing optometry and living in a community like Derby has been an irreplaceable opportunity," Dr. Gillogly said. "The ability to become involved with other families and organizations has been great. We have attended hundreds of ballgames from little league to high school, attended countless school carnivals and programs, and have been quite active in our church. While members of local churches we have taught classes, hosted a home group, and helped sponsor a number of mission trips. We look forward to many more years of community involvement."

Daniel M. Marchant

After graduation, he practiced optometry in Toledo, Ohio to be near family. However, he always held an intention of returning to Kansas, and in 2009 he made the move back to join Grene Vision Group. When Dr. Marchant is out of the office, he enjoys a variety of outdoor activities including fishing, hunting, hiking and walking his three Labs. "Joining Grene Vision Group has provided me with the opportunity to do what I love, which is the ability to practice full-scope optometry while utilizing the latest advancements in technology and equipment to provide my patients with the best care and products available."

David M. Chacko

David M. Chacko, MD, PhD is a vitreous and retina specialist who has been a partner at Grene Vision Group since 2001. He enjoys the variety of providing services for the elderly experiencing age-related macular degeneration, diabetic patients and performing emergency surgery for patients diagnosed with retinal detachments. Love for his patients is evident as they swap new adventures from their lives from one appointment to the next. Dr. Chacko grew up in Frankfort, Kentucky. Dr. Chacko was a professor in the department of Ophthalmology at the University of Nebraska from 1992-2001. At Nebraska, he did extensive research on Diabetic Retinopathy and Age-Related Macular Degeneration, both of which are currently areas of clinical research for him. He and his wife, Janna, moved to the Wichita, Kansas area to raise their family in 2001. They have two children who are furthering their education out of state. Dr. Chacko enjoys taking time away from his busy schedule to relax: fishing, golfing and traveling with family and friends.

Diana M. Leitner

Diana M. Leitner, MD is a fellowship-trained medical retina specialist and vitreoretinal surgeon. She specializes in both office-based and surgical care of the retina and vitreous, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular occlusions, retinal detachments, uveitis and inflammatory eye disease. She graduated from Oberlin College with a degree in physics, and earned her medical degree from the University of Kansas. She completed her internship at the University of Kansas-Wichita, and completed ophthalmology residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania, where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Leitner completed her fellowship in Medical Retina at Duke Medical Center and her fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center. Dr. Leitner is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) and American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS). In her free time, she enjoys handcrafts and camping. She is excited to be back in Wichita.

Dr. Macey Pruett

Dr. Macey Pruett was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas. She attended Wichita Northwest High School and graduated in 2008. After high school, she received her undergraduate degree from Wichita State University and in 2017, her optometry degree from MCPHS University in Worcester, MA. While in school, she was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa honor society. She is now a member of the American Optometric Association and the Kansas Optometric Association. Outside of the office, Dr. Pruett enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and their two cocker spaniels. She loves watching movies, exploring the outdoors, and cheering on the Wichita State Shockers. Dr. McGuire is married to Dr. Robert Moore, a GVG optometrist in El Dorado. They have four children and four grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and art.

Gina C. Ridder

Gina C. Ridder, OD provides family practice optometry at Grene Vision Group's Hutchinson location at 2701 North Main. Dr. Ridder provides eye care for the entire family. Her clinical interests include low vision rehabilitation and contact lenses, and she provides eye exams and diagnoses and treats eye conditions, including emergencies. Dr. Ridder's office in Hutchinson provides many great styles of eyeglasses and sunglasses in all price ranges. Dr. Ridder is a graduate of the University of Texas-Pan American and received her optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry. She is a member of the Kansas Optometric Association.

Jenna Johnson

Jenna Johnson, OD grew up in West Point, NE, a small rural town in northeast Nebraska. She graduated in 2007 from West Point Central Catholic High School, and in 2011 she received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Dr. Johnson attended optometry school at Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Illinois, graduating cum laude in 2015. Upon graduation, she went on to complete a residency in Primary Care/Low Vision Rehabilitation at the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center in Wichita and is thrilled to be a member of the Grene Vision Group team. Along with spending time with her husband, Mark, daughter, family and friends, Dr. Johnson also enjoys golfing, hiking, traveling, and is an avid football fan. "I'm excited to be part of such a diverse and talented group of doctors and staff," Dr. Johnson said. "Being able to provide full-scope optometric services at every stage of life translates into exceptional eye care for entire families, something that drives my passion for optometry."

Jennifer A. Simmonds

Jennifer A. Simmonds, OD, brings over 20 years of clinical experience and values building relationships with patients. As a member of Grene Vision Group's medical glaucoma team, she works closely with Anita Campbell, MD, glaucoma specialist. Raised in North Carolina, she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Duke University. She graduated with an award for clinical excellence from Southern California College of Optometry, and is a member of the Kansas Optometric Association and American Optometric Association. She enjoys spending time with her two sons, cooking, reading, and traveling.

Jennifer E. Taylor

Jennifer E. Taylor, OD has been practicing in her native city of Wichita since 2000. As a student at Maize High School, Dr. Taylor became interested in her future profession at the age of 14 when she received her first pair of glasses. She received her undergraduate degree from Fort Hays State University and her optometric degree from Illinois College of Optometry where her course work included Family Practice Optometry, Dry Eye Therapy, Contact Lenses, Surgical and Disease Comanagement. She has carried over her clinical experiences to create an environment where patients feel comfortable and confident in addressing their eyecare needs. Dr. Taylor is involved in the InfantSee program that screens infants up to 12 months; as well as the See to Learn program which screens 3-year old children. One of her missions is to achieve healthy, working eyes for all children in order to prepare them to be successful in school. There are many reasons to see Dr. Taylor yearly, whether it is updating an eyeglasses prescription, comanaging diabetes, ARMD, or other systemic diseases that can affect the eye. She also prescribes contact lenses that are now available for most people -- even those with astigmatism or bifocals.

Jill M. (Huelskamp) Prilliman

John A. Billingsley III

Dr. Billingsley has nearly thirty years of expertise in comprehensive ophthalmology. His main areas of interest include: cataract and refractive lens surgery, eyelid surgery, aesthetic procedures involving Botox/fillers, ocular and eyelid trauma, and treatment of retinal diseases by laser and injections. He is an avid golfer, enjoys physical fitness, the outdoors, and cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks. He and his wife, Tracy, are members of the National Drowning Prevention Alliance and are involved with the Evan Thomas Foundation in honor of their 16-year-old son, Evan, who drowned in 2014. Justin L. Burden

Justin L. Burden, OD was born in Belle Plaine, KS. He completed his undergraduate degree at Missouri State University in Springfield, MO and Optometry degree at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Worcester, MA. While in school he was a member of the national honor society, Beta Sigma Kappa. He is now a member of the American Optometric Association, as well as the Kansas Optometric Association. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending his time with his wife, Angie, and their dog, Drake, enjoying everything the outdoors has to offer. He is passionate about family, hunting, conservation and archery. Kaden P. Diskin

Kaden P. Diskin, OD was born and raised in Wichita, KS. He earned his undergraduate degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology at the University of Kansas, and his doctorate of optometry at Western University of Health Sciences. In his third year of optometry school, Dr. Diskin was voted "Clinician of the Year" by the faculty and staff of the school. Outside of the office, Dr. Diskin appreciates time spent with family. He also enjoys watching college sports, especially when the Kansas Jayhawks are playing, working outdoors, and watching any and all movies. Dr. Diskin is eager to meet you and provide full-scope, high quality, and professional eyecare in his hometown and its surrounding areas.

Katherine M. Kuhl

Katherine M. Kuhl, OD works closely with Grene Vision Group ophthalmologists to assist them with the care of their patients. She earned her undergraduate and optometric degrees from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK. She also completed a cornea and contact lens residency at Northeastern State.

Kristina L. Post

Kristina L. Post, OD Post, OD is a family practice optometrist. My interests include Ocular Disease and Vision Rehabilitation. I received my undergraduate degree from Southwest Baptist University and my Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. I completed my residency at Northeastern State University College of Optometry.

Lacey D. Hedges

Lacey D. Hedges, OD is a native Kansan, growing up in a small town in southeast Kansas. After obtaining an undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas, she attended optometry school at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. She provides complete family optometry services, with an emphasis on contact lenses. Dr. Hedges practiced optometry in Alaska the last few years, but is excited to be back in Kansas to be closer to family.

Lori Barton

Lori Barton, OD received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Newman University, where she was also a member of the college softball team. She then attended Northeastern Oklahoma State University and obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree. Dr. Barton joined Grene Vision Group in 2021.

Lori L. Krueger

Marcus S. Randall

Marcus S. Randall, OD enjoys seeing patients for a variety of eyecare needs. Mark L. Wellemeyer

Mark L. Wellemeyer, MD is a board certified ophthalmologist with special training in cataract and implant surgery, and laser vision correction surgery - including LASIK and PRK. He has performed more 10,000 LASIK surgeries since 1996. LASIK surgery is performed utilizing the Alcon Wavelight laser for the vision correction and the AMO IFS laser to create the bladeless flap, providing you with the best possible vision! Dr. Wellemeyer completed his medical education, internship and residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He has authored numerous papers in the field of ophthalmology and refractive surgery. Dr. Wellemeyer has been on the leading edge of new lens implant technology and is the first surgeon in Central Kansas to implant both the Crystalens accommodating lens implant and the Verisyse phakic lens implant. Dr. Wellemeyer has been a part of Grene Vision Group since 1993, and although he has retired from his cataract practice after almost 30 years, Dr Wellemeyer continues to perform LASIK/ PRK surgery with our Grene Laser Center.

Martin de la Presa

Dr. de la Presa moved from Spain to Twin Falls, Idaho at an early age where he excelled in both athletics and academic studies. He was recruited to play football at one of the top academic institutions in the country. At Macalester College he double majored in Cognitive & Neuroscience Studies and Psychology. Learning about the human experience gave him great compassion for human suffering and led to career in medicine. He traveled from west to east across the USA to train at the top programs throughout the country. At the University of Utah School of Medicine, he developed a passion for research and innovation earning multiple national and international awards for his work. There he became fascinated with the anatomy of the eye and by the broad spectrum of systemic disease that affects eye health. Prior to ophthalmology residency, he completed an internship in general surgery at the Oregon Health & Science University to gain a strong foundation in the surgical management of disease. He then moved east where he completed training in comprehensive ophthalmology at the University of Minnesota. He was selected to complete a prestigious fellowship in cornea and external disease at the Cincinnati Eye Institute - a national referral center for complex ocular surface disease. "I chose to pursue a career as a cornea and ocular surface transplant specialist as I was drawn to the precision and technical challenge of the field. I enjoy developing relationships with each of my patients and forming a treatment plan tailored for their individual needs. Ultimately, the greatest reward is seeing the significant improvement in the quality of life of patients who have had their visual function restored." - Martin de la Presa, M.D. Dr. de la Presa enjoys spending time with family while seeking adventures across the country. He is an outdoorsman who loves to go camping, hunting, sailing, and fishing. He has a passion for riding horses and raising livestock on his small farm. Dr. de la Presa is joined by his wife, Amanda, and their four children. They look forward to settling in Wichita and becoming actively involved in the community.

Michele M. Riggins

Michele M. Riggins, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist making Kansas her home after completing a Neuro-Ophthalmology fellowship at the Dean A. McGee Eye Institute in Oklahoma City, OK. She specializes in Neuro-Ophthalmology, Adult Strabismus and Blepharospasm. Her clinical interests include Diplopia, Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension, Thyroid Eye Disease, Ocular Myasthenia Gravis, Optic Neuritis, Benign Essential Blepharospasm and Hemifacial Spasm. Dr. Riggins has lived throughout the country, being a daughter of an Air Force fighter pilot. She grew up in Glendale, AZ. She attended Texas A&M University on a swimming scholarship, and went on to attend medical school at Texas A&M Health Science Center. At the conclusion of her Internal Medicine internship and Ophthalmology residency at Scott and White Hospital in Temple, TX, she went on to complete a fellowship in Neuro-Ophthalmology at the Dean A. McGee Eye Institute in Oklahoma City. Dr. Riggins earned several academic and athletic awards and scholarships. She enjoys being spiritually active, spending time with family and friends, and being outside playing any sport that comes her way. "My passion for ophthalmology is evident in my compassion and desire to help diagnose and treat difficult neuro-ophthalmologic conditions, while serving as a team player in the overall care of my patients," Dr. Riggins said.

Misha A. Anderson

Misha A. Anderson, OD is a family practice optometrist who enjoys seeing patients of all ages. Her interests include eyeglasses, contact lens fitting, ocular disease and surgical comanagement. Dr. Anderson was born and raised in Wichita. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas and her optometric degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis. She returned home to Wichita in 2005 to begin her optometric practice. Dr. Anderson is married with two children. She enjoys family and friends, spending time outside and planning her next family trip. P. Joe Jittawait

P. Joe Jittawait, OD was born in Thailand and his family immigrated to Wichita when he was six months old. He graduated from Wichita Northwest High School in 1993 and received his undergraduate degree from Wichita State University in 1996. In 2000, he graduated from Northeastern State University College of Optometry. Shortly thereafter, he joined Grene Vision Group.

R. Michael Murphy

R. Michael Murphy, OD provides the full range of optometric services. His interests include disease management, ocular infection, refractive surgery consultations, systemic disease with ocular implications and routine eye care, including custom prescribing of occupational glasses for work and recreation. He enjoys working with patients of all ages and seeing generations of family members. Dr. Murphy was born in Atchison, Kansas where he attended Maur Hill Prep. He earned his undergraduate degree from Kansas State University and received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston in 1986. He returned to Kansas where he joined Dr. Doug Blackman in private practice. He joined Grene Vision Group in 2004. Dr. Murphy has been a member of the Kansas Optometric Association and American Optometric Association since 1982. He is an active volunteer in fundraising for community organizations and has a special place in his heart for "The Lord's Diner," a not-for-profit soup kitchen that provides an evening meal in two Wichita locations seven days a week. When Dr. Murphy is out of the office, he enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, including golf and running.

Rebecca L. Lehr

Rebecca L. Lehr, OD practices at Grene Vision Group's location at 8111 East Harry in Wichita. She provides eye care for the entire family. A graduate of Kansas State University, Dr. Lehr received her optometry degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She is a member of the Kansas Optometric Association.

Samuel W. Amstutz

Samuel W. Amstutz, MD is an oculoplastic surgeon at Grene Vision Group. His ultimate concern is the well-being of your vision, as well as the function and aesthetic appearance of your eyelids. He also specializes in tear duct and orbital disorders, as well as cataract and implant surgery. As a board-certified ophthalmologist, Dr. Amstutz is fellowship-trained in functional and cosmetic/reconstructive surgery of the eyelids, tear ducts, and orbit. He has practiced in Wichita since 1985 and has performed hundreds of surgeries each year. After more than 30 years of practice, he still enjoys the diverse challenges of oculoplastic surgery -- and the many patients that he is privileged to serve each day. Dr. Amstutz comes from a rich cultural background, a foreign-born American reared in Chile and Ecuador. He received his undergraduate degree at Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois and his medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago. He completed his residency and fellowship training at the Kresge Eye Institute, Wayne State University, in Detroit, Michigan. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has provided critical surgical care in difficult and needy locations around the world, believing that God cares deeply for all peoples in all places. Dr. Amstutz loves the wide-open spaces of the Kansas landscape, having chosen to practice near his mother's historical farm roots. He gains pleasure from yard work, reading, studying geology, biking, hiking, and international exploration of foreign cultures and places. Mostly though, he treasures time with his wife and adult children.

Steven A. Kuhl

Steven A. Kuhl, OD OD has enjoyed practicing in Wichita for more than 20 years. A native of St. Louis, he completed his undergraduate studies at Rockhurst University on an academic scholarship. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Missouri-St. Louis School of Optometry. Dr. Kuhl completed his ocular disease residency at Northeastern State University. He was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society. Dr. Kuhl and his wife, Kathy, also an optometrist, live in Maize. They enjoy family time, going to the lake, and attending their two children's swimming and volleyball competition.

Suzanne Sweetman Buchanan

Suzanne Sweetman Buchanan, OD is an optometrist specializing in primary care optometry. She sees patients ages 3 and older for routine eye examinations, diabetic exams, contact lens fittings and comanagement after eye surgery. Our optometrists also see patients with ocular disease or trauma. If a patient's ocular needs require a specialist, there is a Grene Vision Group ophthalmologist in each subspecialty which to seamlessly refer for appropriate care. Dr. Buchanan's goal is to provide excellent eye care effeciently and in a kind, friendly manner to all patients. Excluding the time spent away for education, Dr. Buchanan is proud to be a lifelong Wichitan. In fact, the time she spent away taught her how to really appreciate her hometown. After earning an undergraduate degree in Human Biology from the University of Kansas, Dr. Buchanan attended the University of Houston to obtain her doctorate in optometry. Externships at the Albuquerque VA Hospital and the Crownpoint Navajo Indian Health Hospital were invaluable to her practical application of optometry. She then completed a one-year residency program in family optometry at Northeastern State University College of Optometry in Tahlequah, OK before joining Grene Vision Group in 1994. As a blended family, she and her husband have four children and four grandchildren -- who are their main source of entertainment. They also stay involved at their church in various capacities. Her husband is a nostalgia dragster racer, and Dr. Buchanan loves to read historical fiction and is learning to play the drums.

Tim R. Ridder

Tim R. Ridder, OD provides family practice optometry. In his many years of practice, he has provided eye care for thousands of patients in the Hutchinson area. Dr. Ridder provides eye care for the entire family. His clinical interests include ocular disease, glaucoma and contact lenses. A graduate of Kansas State University, Dr. Ridder received his optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry. He is a member of the Kansas Optometric Association.

Trevor R. Askew

Trevor R. Askew, OD is a native to Kansas, born in the small town of Minneola just outside Dodge City. He grew up in the Goddard area and graduated from Goddard High School in 2000. Dr. Askew earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas and attended Optometry School at the University of Missouri, Saint Louis. While in school, Dr. Askew was a member of the honor society Beta Sigma Kappa, as well as the American Optometric Association and Kansas Optometric Association. Upon graduation in 2008, Dr. Askew moved back to Wichita where he worked in a private practice setting for several years. In 2013, he accepted the opportunity to join Grene Vision Group. Dr. Askew is married to Sara; they have three boys, Carter, Sam and Leo. He is eager to meet you and provide all of your eyecare needs.
