The facility is opened 24 hours day, 365 days per year... In 1983, Hospice of Acadiana was founded as a non-profit organization when we saw a need for end-of-life comfort care in our area. We were the first hospice in our community, and today, we are still the only non-profit hospice agency in Acadiana... As Acadiana's only nonprofit hospice provider, we rely on the support and generosity of our community. Hospice of Acadiana Foundation provides for the unreimbursed care and support services of our terminal patients and their families - in whatever capacity that may be.
