Quantum Computing is gaining significant traction as an upcoming technology to help push past the end of Moore's law and the von Neumann bottleneck, at least for targeted and highly important applications... This is a young cross-discipline endeavor requiring a strong interdisciplinary engagement from a wide range of fields, including physics, chemistry, computer science, mathematics and electrical engineering... This initiative was born out of an ongoing collaboration between Technical University of Munich (TUM), the Danish Technical University (DTU) and the Leibniz Supercomputing Centre (LRZ) as part of their leading roles in several large-scale computing initiatives.
