This site includes parts of my former website at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel which has been online for 25 years until my retirement. Besides a partial list of my publications it presents some research results in the fields of crystallography, superconductors, and bond valences including tables generated by algorithms which have been designed and implemented by my students and myself since 1985. Several of these algorithms refer to approaches initiated and worked out with great enthusiasm by my late friend Friedrich Liebau... Research interests: theoretical foundations of database systems, incomplete information, object oriented modelling, analysis and prediction of crystal structures, graphical interfaces to databases, crystal chemical approach to superconductivity, determination of bond valence parameters, analysis of pharmacovigilance data
