Catherine Provencher was named Chief Administrative Officer of the University System of New Hampshire (USNH) by its Board of Trustees effective January 1, 2021 to serve during the Chancellor transition period. USNH is New Hampshire's four-year public higher education system comprised of the University of New Hampshire, Plymouth State University and Keene State College.
Ms. Provencher also serves as Vice Chancellor and Treasurer, the Chief Financial Officer of the University System. In that role, she and her team of approximately fifty coworkers provide centralized accounting, budgeting, treasury, including cash, investment and debt management, internal audit, procurement, capital planning and institutional research services to the four institutions comprising the University System. Provencher and her team also serve as staff liaison to the Board of Trustees' Financial Affairs, Investment and Audit Committees.
She joined the University System in March 2014 following a successful 27 year career in New Hampshire State service, most recently serving as State Treasurer, preceded as Director of Audits of the Office of Legislative Budget Assistant, the State's Auditor.
Provencher currently serves on the Board of the NH Business Finance Authority. She holds a Masters in Business Administration from New Hampshire College and a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Bentley College.

PROFILE: Graduate of Trinity College (Hartford, Ct. 1974) and the University of New Hampshire School of Law - formerly Franklin Pierce Law Center (1977). Employed at Shaheen & Gordon PA in Concord, NH focusing on criminal defense. Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers; recognized as a Champion of Liberty by the New Hampshire Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers which she co-founded and served as President of from 1989-2001; President of the New Hampshire Public Defender Board of Directors; Member of the Board of Trustees for the Franklin Pierce Law Center/UNH School of Law from 2003, which she chaired from 2011-2014 when it merged with the University of New Hampshire. Elected by UNH alumni to serve a four-year term on the USNH Board of Trustees beginning in 2017 and expiring in 2025.
Alongside his colleagues in the General Counsel's Office, Chad Pimentel helps provides a full range of legal services to the University System of New Hampshire, its Board of Trustees and component institutions and affiliated organizations, including pre-decision advice; document drafting, negotiation and review; and client representation before courts and administrative agencies. Chad also maintains, certifies and provides access to the University System's corporate records.
Prior to joining USNH, Chad was Principal Counsel for Education and Governance for the University of California's Office of the President. In addition to his law practice, Chad has taught legal research and writing at Berkeley Law and Columbia Law School. He received his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.

PROFILE: Graduate of University of Rhode Island (B.S., 1983); Masters of Theological Studies from the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, 2015. Former Republican member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives. During his term in the House, served on the Finance Committee, Special Committee on Pensions and the Child and Family Law Committee. Started as a Certified Public Accountant with a large international accounting firm many years ago and briefly worked as a Chief Financial Officer for a public company. In 1990, started his own company that was sold to a French firm in 2009. Currently president of Willoughby Capital Holdings, a Single Family Office (SFO) private investment company established in 2009. Founded Harvest Management LLC, a multi-strategy hedge fund focused on merger arbitrage, long/short investing and event driven situations; prior to Harvest, he was one of the four founding partners of Farallon Partners, a hedge fund specializing in merger arbitrage and distressed securities/bankruptcy investing. Jim McGrail is the Chief Human Resources Officer of the University System of New Hampshire (USNH). He and his team serve in an advisory and collaborative capacity to each of the Human Resources Offices at the University of New Hampshire, Keene State College and Plymouth State University. The USNH Office of Human Resources is responsible for developing, implementing and administrating comprehensive human resources programs and policies in support of the USNH system. He also serves as a staff liaison to the Board of Trustees' Human Resources Executive Council, Compensation Committee and Executive Performance Review Subcommittee.
Jim joined the University System in June 2015. Prior to his appointment, he had 30 successful years in human resources at large, diverse, and global organizations. The last 10 years have been in senior human resources leadership roles with responsibility for all HR disciplines but with significant focus on strategic benefits and compensation. He has presented at conferences on the topic of global benefits strategy. He is a New Hampshire native and an alumni of the University of New Hampshire.

As a graduate of Nashua Community College (NCC), Mackenzie served as Student Senate President while working part-time in the NCC's Admissions Office. She earned her Associates degree in Teacher Education in 2017, as well as a School Aged Para-Educator II Certificate.
