David Iglesias

David is a native East Texan who graduated from Austin College in Sherman where he was on the Dean's List. He then attended Texas Tech University School of Law on a Dean's Scholarship. David's legal career began as a law clerk to United States District Judge Sam R. Cummings, who presided over the Lubbock, Abilene, and San Angelo Divisions of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas. David is an experienced trial lawyer who has practiced for 16 years. He has served as first chair in over 100 jury trials and over 75 bench trials in his professional career. Also, David has served as lead counsel of record in three cases before the United States Supreme Court and as lead counsel of record in dozens of appeals to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He has argued for his clients before the Fifth Circuit five times. On one of these occasions, David argued to the entire court sitting en banc. Officials in Texas recognize David's expertise in his field. David is frequently asked to speak at law enforcement training events and human resource events throughout the state. David continually seeks to serve and improve his professional experiences and is involved in many ways throughout the great State of Texas. He was appointed by Governor Greg Abbott to serve as a commissioner of the Texas State Library and Archives Commission in 2021. He also was appointed by the Supreme Court of Texas to serve on the State Bar of Texas Board of Disciplinary Appeals and on the State Bar of Texas Public Ethics Committee. David is also honored with his appointment to serve on the Merit Selection Panel of United States Magistrate Judges for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. He is a proud member of the Board of Directors of the Hispanic Leadership Alliance of Texas. Locally, David serves as the Chair of the Audit Committee of the University of Texas at Tyler. He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of UT Health Tyler, and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Tyler Hispanic Business Alliance.

Jim Evans

Jim Evans' practice focuses primarily on the firm's government litigation and appellate clients. His experience as a professional outside of law makes him a valuable asset to Iglesias Law Firm. Jim has broad experience assisting both individuals and government clients with a variety of business, property, and mineral rights matters. Jim began his career in the oil and gas sector before returning to law school. While there, he honed his advocacy skills, earning accolades in intramural mock trials and moot court competitions. He interned for the Honorable Kent Sullivan of the 80 th District Court in Harris County, where he was able to observe outstanding trial lawyers, research and draft bench briefs, and develop a strong interest in litigation. After law school, Jim moved to Tyler to begin his career in private practice, working on energy and real estate law matters. He later worked in-house for a top private oil and gas company for almost a decade. Jim maintains membership in both the Government Law and Oil, Gas, and Energy Law sections of the State Bar of Texas. Jim is a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia. He received his law degree from South Texas College of Law in Houston and later obtained a graduate certificate in Energy Finance and Management from the University of Denver. He is a native of San Antonio, and while he misses the vistas of the Hill Country, he is happy to be in the Piney Woods of East Texas.

Kelli Kissinger

Kelli Kissinger is a 2019 graduate of the University of Texas at Tyler where she received a bachelor's degree in Finance with a Pre-law minor. As a paralegal, Kelli primarily aids in the defense of governmental entities and individuals in federal and state court. Kelli's background in finance contributes a refreshing and unique perspective as the team works together to help our clients. Kelli is constantly coming up with new innovative ways to complete tasks, and she is known for her pleasant attitude and easy-going nature. She is a true team player. Born and raised in East Texas, Kelli enjoys playing tennis, rock climbing, camping with her family, and finds any excuse to read a book while drinking coffee when it's raining.

Kimberly Lowery

Stephanie Ernst

Stephanie Ernst leads the Dallas office of Iglesias Law Firm. Prior to joining ILF, Stephanie worked for several law firms and served as an Assistant District Attorney for Dallas County. As an Assistant District Attorney, Stephanie tried scores of jury and bench trials. Her diverse civil and criminal experience allow her to offer a unique blend of research and writing skills, a deep understanding of the discovery process, experience with every stage of a case, and an ability to comfortably persuade attorneys, jurors, and judges in and out of a courtroom. Stephanie represents our clients in government litigation and appellate cases. She has conducted critical legal research and analysis, and she has prepared and presented numerous dispositive motions in various courts. Stephanie has deposed dozens of critical witnesses in multimillion-dollar disputes, prepared and presented arguments at high-stakes mediations, and independently represented defendants in numerous trials.
