Jamie Saddington

Jamie started his engineering career in Hull where he completed an advanced mechanical engineering apprenticeship in 1998. His expertise was in building, installing, and maintaining ship's handling equipment, including hydraulic heave compensation winches and ROV deployment systems. Later, he progressed into project management and was a site safety supervisor in the construction industry, working on projects such as the TotalEnergies West of Shetland gas project. His career moved into B2B sales for a UK market leader within the energy industry. Next, he became a company director where he demonstrated his management skills by growing the company and increasing the turnover sixfold the three years. His experience and multidisciplinary skills make him an effective asset manager with the ability to be both flexible and focused. Outside of work, Jamie, along with his wife and their two young boys, enjoys the great outdoors whether that be hiking in the Yorkshire Dales or kayaking and wild camping in the Lake District. He hopes that himself and his family will be able to enjoy these pursuits for decades to come and is passionate about applying his skills to the renewable energy sector as a means to secure this.

Kevin Saddington

A highly experienced international hydraulic engineer, Kevin worked in many countries where his fault diagnosis, installation, commissioning and project management expertise were essential. He worked with design teams from concept to construction and commissioning of many systems including the first fully operational heave compensation winch off the coast of Brazil. He is experienced in interfacing between contractor and client, managing the installation and commissioning of ship's handling equipment, working on numerous vessels including seismic survey, pipe and cable layers, Royal Navy research and mine layers, drill ships and oil tankers. In response to the climate crisis, Kevin has now turned his extensive skill set to the renewable energy sector. His specialist knowledge of engineering makes him invaluable as a liaison between contractor and client.

Shane Brennan

Shane graduated from the University of Central Lancashire in 2006 with a degree in chemistry. His career in renewable energy began with offshore foundation installations in the very early stages of the offshore wind industry. He gained valuable experience and continued to develop his knowledge base in synchrony with its evolution. He has worked as the offshore client representative for some of the industry's largest energy companies, overseeing the delivery of the most challenging offshore windfarm constructions. This enabled him to gain a vast amount of people-management experience, build up solid relationships with some esteemed clients and continue to thrive on being part of a forward-looking industry. Shane applied the valuable skills and knowledge he gained in the offshore renewables industry when in 2009 he founded IOER. The company has rapidly gained an excellent reputation as a leading service provider within the offshore windfarm construction sector.
