JEM's facilities are primarily dedicated to the preservation of natural resources by converting industrial waste into recycled products... Since acquiring a 55 megawatt biomass power plant in Lufkin, Texas, last year, Jefferson Renewable Fiber has upgraded the site to become the energy anchor for state-of-the-art green infrastructure designed to manufacture high quality bleached pulp fiber and compostable molded fiber products from agricultural residuals and waste biomass. Jefferson Enterprise is also developing a molded fiber production at the site.
