Kristian Rasmussen

Kristian Rasmussen launched the Rasmussen Law Firm in Birmingham, AL after stepping down from his position as shareholder and vice president and head of mass tort litigation at a large national law firm. He is recognized by judges, his peers and the national media as a leader and expert in mass torts, complex litigation, class actions and product liability litigation. Mr. Rasmussen has recovered multiple verdicts and settlements in excess of $1 million for clients. As a recognized leader, Mr. Rasmussen is often sought after by national media, bar associations and attorney groups to lecture on various litigation topics. Rasmussen is a graduate of The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, Mississippi College School of Law and The United States Naval War College. Kristian Rasmussen's leadership and litigation experience includes being appointed by United States District Court, Chief Judge M. Casey Rodgers as co-lead counsel, In Re Abilify (aripiprazol) Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 2734; appointed United States District Judge Inga Johnson as a lead attorney serving on the Plaintiffs Executive Committee In Re Chantix (varenicline) Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 2092; Co-Lead Trial Counsel, In re High Sulfur Content Gasoline Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 1632; and being appointed by United States District Judge Charles Bryer to serve as a lead attorney on the Plaintiffs Steering Committee as co-chair of the discovery committee for MDL No. 1699, In Re Bextra and Celebrex Unfair Sales Practices and Product Liability Litigation. Additionally, before entering into private practice, Mr. Rasmussen prosecuted cases as a Special Assistant United States Attorney in the Northern District of Florida and served the United States Navy as an officer in the Judge Advocate General's Corps.
