Our method is to collect bulk amounts of balls, then pack them into boxes to be shipped to Wilson and recycled. These balls can then be repurposed into almost anything! Many of them become part of tennis courts, balls, and many other items. Our goal is to keep the balls and the harmful plastics out of our environment... The creators of this program, Chris Polackal and Kevin Polackal, aim to create a greener future for the town of Lexington, and eventually expand to other towns. Both of us are avid tennis players and are part of the Lexington High School tennis team, and we knew from the beginning it was never right to simply throw out older balls, so we decided to start recycling our tennis balls. We want to share our recycling tradition with the town of Lexington in the hopes for a cleaner future... As of now, there isn't a way for the town of Lexington's tennis players to dispose of old tennis balls. Green tennis is committed to changing this reality by helping people to recycle..
