Abbie Hutty

Abbie Hutty is Chief Engineer at ispace Europe SA, where she leads the development of Lunar Rover missions. Prior to this role, she spent 12 years at Airbus space in the UK, working primarily on Mars Rover missions. She is a chartered engineer, holding a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Surrey. Alongside her day job, Abbie promotes engineering careers and studying STEM subjects to the next generation, including giving a TEDx talk, appearing in documentaries, giving live news interviews and many events with students from preschool through to University. She is married with two children.

Axel BERNING

Axel Berning, born 1971 in Germany, is Managing Director of Webasto Luxembourg as of September 1 st, 2023. In his role he is responsible for the Webasto Automotive Glass Business. Axel Berning held various management positions at the Webasto Group since 2012. He has been Vice President Purchasing and Supplier Quality and, thus, signed responsible for the European Procurement of the Group. He then took over the lead for the strategic Project Verticalization in Glass in Webasto Group. Before joining Webasto Group, Axel Berning has worked for BMW, Siemens and Schindler in various management and leadership roles in supply chain, purchasing and quality. Axel Berning studied mechanical engineering and graduated in 1994.

Chris Helsel

Chris Helsel is the Senior Vice President Global Operations and Chief Technology Officer for The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. Helsel joined Goodyear in 1996 and has worked in computer modeling, tire design and tire technology. He has deep experience in Goodyear's commercial tire business, including leading the retread business in North America. His Goodyear tenure includes a stint in Luxembourg where he led project management and technology development. Helsel was named Chief Technology Officer in 2017 and added responsibility for Global Operations in 2021. Mindful of the inflection point in mobility, Helsel and his team operate with duality, working to enhance Goodyear's core tire product while innovating "beyond" tires to enable the evolution and future of movement. Applying this segregated but synced approach, Helsel is responsible for a global network of tire technology, innovation, research and product development operations, focused on creating industry-leading solutions for consumer, commercial and off-the-road vehicles, in addition to aviation and racing.

Dr. Alex Huang

Dr. Alex Huang is the Dula D. Cockrell Centennial Chair in Engineering at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at UT Austin. Dr. Huang received the bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Zhejiang University, China in 1983 and his M.S. degree from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in 1986. He received his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from University of Cambridge, UK in 1992. Prior to joining UT Austin, Dr. Huang has been a faculty member at Virginia Tech (1994-2004) and NC State University (2004-2017). At NC State, Dr. Huang has established a number of internationally renowned public-private partnerships such as the NSF FREEDM ERC in 2008 ,NCSU's Advanced Transportation Energy Center (ATEC) in 2008 and the DOE PowerAmerica Institute in 2014. Dr. Huang is a world renowned expert of power semiconductor devices, power electronics, smart grid and renewable energy system. He has published more than 550 papers in journals and conferences, and is the inventor of more than 20 US patents including several patents on the Emitter turn-off (ETO) thyristor technology that received a prestigious R&D 100 award in 2003. Dr. Huang is also widely credited for his contribution in developing the Energy Internet concept and the Solid State Transformer (SST) based Energy Router technology. His work on the SST has been named by MIT Technology Review as one of the world's 10 most important emerging technologies in 2011. He has graduated more than 80 Ph.D. students and master students. Dr. Huang is a fellow of IEEE and the general chair of IEEE ECCE Conference in 2012. He is also a fellow of the National Academy of Inventors. Dr. Huang is the recipient of 2019 IEEE IAS Gerald Kliman Innovator Award. Dr. Huang is currently active in the following research areas and he welcomes inquiries by perspective research students and postdoctoral researchers.

Eva Kremer

Eva Kremer has been a LIST Board member since January 2015. She became Board Chair in May 2022. Mrs. Kremer is a member of the authorized management of Société Nationale de Crédit et d'Investissement (SNCI), the national development bank. SNCI supports Luxembourg based companies in their innovation, development and diversification efforts and is a shareholder in strategically important Luxembourg companies. Before joining SNCI, Eva Kremer worked for the Ministry of Economic Affairs in several departments including the Directorates for Research and Development and Industry, as well as the Foreign Investment Board. Mrs. Kremer has been representing SNCI and the Luxembourg State on boards of a number of private companies and public institutions for more than 20 years. She started her professional career working for Arthur Andersen in 1994.

Marc Oswald

Marc Oswald is Co-Founder & CEO of Open Assessment Technologies S.A., a Luxembourg software company and Education Technology leader, which he launched in 2013. Through his visionary leadership, the company quickly established itself as the de facto market leader for open and innovative assessment solutions with an impressive customer list spanning Europe, the United States, and Asia. Marc is also a vocal proponent of interoperability through industry standards, serving as the first chairman of the IMS Global Executive Board on Assessment, which he initiated in 2015 with the goal to significantly improve interoperability of assessment content and to reduce total cost of ownership for institutional assessment providers around the globe. Prior to IMS Global, Marc served on the boards of the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) and the Fibre Channel Industry Association (FCIA) from which he received a lifetime achievement award for his work on solutions interoperability.
