Dr. Asif Imam completed his graduation from Dow Medical College, Karachi in the year 1976. He went on to do his postgraduate training in the United States where he received a certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine after completing his residency program in the Internal Medicine.
After practicing general internal medicine, Dr. Asif became a part of a fellowship training program in Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the University of California, Irvine, US. Following the fellowship, he was certified by the American Board of Allergy-Immunology and was then hired as the Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine by the University of California, Irvine. He then practiced in the field of Allergy and Immunology as the Director of Integrated Clinical Research for Corona (an organization responsible for conducting clinical drug trials for emerging therapies for Asthma and allergies) for twelve years in California.

Dr Javed Husain serves as a consultant of Pulmonary and Critical care services at South city and also heads The Chest Clinic. He is a United States trained and board-certified physician with four specialty boards to his credit. He has been extensively trained in busy public and private hospitals in New York, Chicago and Texas.
He successfully completed his medical internship in New York and his residency training at Loyola University in Chicago followed by a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care at the University of Texas, Galveston. He is currently board certified in Critical Care and Internal, Pulmonary, and Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Javed Husain completed his medical training in Internal Medicine, followed by subspecialty training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine as well as his board certification in Sleep Medicine in the United States. He holds active medical licenses in the United States and in Pakistan and practices in both countries.
Dr. Javed Husain has been actively involved in teaching and training of post graduates given he has over 25 years of experience providing clinical care to his patients. He considers it a great privilege to care for his many patients to help ensure the best quality of life for them as well as their families.
Dr. Samia Vohra is a graduate of Ziauddin Medical University. After completing her medical degree she successfully completed her House job from Ziauddin medical hospital. Dr. Samia has worked at renowned hospitals and has worked with Dr. Javed for almost a decade. Dr. Samia has extensive experience in dealing with critically ill patients while working as an ER physician and also in the Medical Intensive Care Units. Due to her exemplary professionalism and hard work Dr. Samia was promoted as the Coordinator of the medical ICU.
She joined the Chest clinic as an Associate physician in 2020 where she is considered a critical and valuable asset to the team.
Mr. Iqbal Ismail is our unit receptionist and comes to us after working for over 20 years at The Aga Khan Hospital where he was involved in scheduling patient care and assisting clinic operations. Iqbal is an important point of contact for scheduling of online and in clinic appointments for The Chest Clinic.

Ms. Kanwal Allar is a certified Pulmonary Function Test technician. She is a dedicated and passionate professional who has been a valuable part of the Chest Clinic's team for last 6 years.
Kanwal completed her higher education from the Aga Khan University Hospital in the department Applied Health Sciences. She is a qualified, experienced and specialized professional experienced in conducting Pulmonary Function Tests and other medical examinations related to lung disorders. Ms. Allar has impeccable work ethics and has the ability to work under any sort of pressure to provide the best of care to patients.

Ms. Parveen D'Souza is a registered nurse and a valued member of The Chest Clinic team. She has received her training from the Civil Hospital and the Lady Dufferin Hospital. She provides necessary support to our team of doctors and hands-on care to our patients.
