MACEDONIA HOUSE

Macedonia House is a nonprofit organization that works to help residents within our city to maintain and improve their lives by offering help with their basic human needs such as food, shelter, clothing and life skills training. We are formally organized under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service tax code... We are a partner agency of the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana. We provide assistance to those in our area who want to sign up for the program and our location is also a distribution center of the food provided by the Food Bank... The idea for this organization came about as a result of the many families and individuals that occasionally frequented the Queensborough Church of Christ seeking some kind of assistance - financial, food, clothing, transportation, etc. The lingering questions were always, "How can we help these people beyond what we do for them today? What can we do for them to lessen the possibility of these people finding themselves in this situation..
