With over 100 years of history, Mann Egerton established itself as an engineering giant that specialised in an array of automotive and aerospace retailing and manufacturing. Beginning in Norwich and founded by Gerald Mann and Hubert Egerton, the brand quickly spread to London, opening branches in 1913... By the time of the First World War, Mann Egerton played a crucial part in the war effort. It manufactured aircraft that included the Short Admiralty Type 184s besides its own Type B, an evolution of existing aircraft designs. It followed up this contribution in the Second World War by providing ambulances that include the Austin K2/Y, something Queen Elizabeth herself was trained to drive.
