Matchspace Music began in 2019 when Patrick was looking to take cello lessons on his way home from work and realised it was hard to find what he was looking for. Talking to busy adults who wanted to take music lessons, parents who were looking for private music teachers for their children and lots of musicians and teachers who were looking for more flexibility and an additional income. The idea to build a digital ecosystem to address these needs was born. Since then Patrick never looked back and started to build a platform to bring people together to share and develop their talents and to make a difference in the world of personal development. In summer 2020 the website and app was built and in 2021 the first music teachers started to enlist to the platform. In 2021 Oli joined the team to help Patrick achieve his plans and soon after that Matchspace Music had hundreds of teachers and students and large variety of instruments.
