Studying microbes that have been living as parasites for millions of years, Charlotte aims to unveil their common vulnerabilities that could serve as therapeutic targets.
Chinenye is a medical microbiologist working to help solve the emerging problem of antimicrobial resistance. Seeking for new sources of antimicrobials and strategies to reduce the risks of resistance evolution, she hopes to improve global health and make drugs last longer.
Karla is a scientist on a mission. Studying microbes that have an extraordinary capacity to strive in hostile conditions, Karla aims to unveil their secrets and thereby help learn how to endow biological molecules, and possibly organisms, with the ability to tolerate extreme environments.
